Nightmares and Family

I'm so sorry for your loss too... I have been reading this board because we have several situations right now that we are coping with as well and I always pray for everyone here with heartache. I so relate to your situation, only my mom is still alive but struggling with advanced Parkinson's. We are trying to put her affairs in order now so that it won't be so difficult later on, but already I understand what you are going through with family.
Your loss of your dear mother is hard enough without the stress of family issues especially when it comes to material things, money, etc.
None of that is as important as your mom's love and it is sad to see people lose sight of that. It will eventually sort itself out and time will help but in the mean time, I understand how emotionally consuming it can be.
Disney is always a magical healing place for me, I hope you can find some magical moments and smiles in a trip!

I'm so so sorry for your lost. I'll pray for you and that you are comforted..

I understand the drama with parent's passing away and estates. When my grandmother (Nana, my Mom's Mom) passed away my Mom and her siblings all got into it, of course, for the money.

My Mom and her youngest brother wanted to keep my Nana's house since my Uncle was living with her at the time, but my Mom's oldest brother and her older sister wanted to sell it so they could get the money. My Nana's house was sold under 30 days after she passed away and my Uncle had no where to go. Her car was sold too.

My Aunt was made executor of my Nana's estate for only reasons my Nana knows. My Aunt lives in North Carolina and was never here to take care of my Nana when was sick with cancer twice (breast and non-Hodgkins lymphoma). My Mom and her younger brother took care of her. I don't think my Mom will ever fully understand why my Aunt was put in charge..

I just hope and pray when I have children and my husband and I pass there won't be any issues like this. It's so hard, especially on top of dealing with the grief of someone passing away...

I wish you all the strength in the world. I agree with the PPs that you should go on your WDW trip. It will be nice to get away...
