Nightmare trying to book @ the DL Hotel. Is there still hope?

Why on earth did you choose those days to visit DLR?? It's going to be quite busy therefore unpleasant IMO - can you wait till later in the summer? Weekdays mid July through mid August?

Not by choice - believe me. My work has asked that if I want to take a long vacation that I take it beginning of the month of June (and DD1 is out for the Summer on June 8th).

I have a big project at work that actually starts in June and runs through end of July...so they are "letting" me go - as long as I go the earlier part of June. My supervisor was NOT happy when I mentioned requesting the week of June 18-22 off.

Our oldest daughter starts high school some time in August and I heard the crowds are bad with last minute parents taking their kids to DL...along with the fact we need to prepare for DD1's return to school (PLUS our 4-year old tells me daily, "You need to take me to Disneyland")...so I'm thinking the soonest we can do this & have my company be okay with it, would be June. And yes, our vacation falls on an awful week to be in LA, but we're trying to make do.

FWIW, when we booked a Costco package for PPH, our room was very nice. We were upgraded from standard to theme park view, and it was all good.

The citypass works for you? You're doing all that's included? 3 days at disney, and seaworld and universal? Just want to make sure THAT is the best ticket for your purposes.

Nice! :thumbsup2 I'm guessing they upgraded you to the theme park view for free because it was off season? I hear about guests receiving free upgrades, but it NEVER happens to us! Maybe it's because we typically only visit during the Summer?

Yes, the CityPass is great because we don't vacation often and we will be in So. Cal from June 9th-17th. I think we should have enough time. We may upgrade the 3-day PH to a 4 or 5 day as well.

The 14th is booked up because Disneyland has blocked rooms for media to stay at the park.

Thanks for posting. The only reason I know about Carsland opening during the week we are going is because I posted the dates we were going & asked for help planning and another forum member told me! So along with not having much time to research all of this it appears I am entirely clueless! lol
