Can someone tell me when the overlay goes on the Haunted Mansion? I'm hoping it's sometime in Sept, but not sure where to find the information for this year's plan. Any help would be appreciated!!!

It typically closes right after Labor Day and reopens the last Friday in September for the kickoff of Halloween season. Then it'll remain through Halloween and Xmas until the first week of January.

Thanks for the quick response... Those dates might work for us. Is there an official posting of the dates this year? Don't want to go and find out it's opening up the day we leave...

No official posting until a month or two ahead of time.

True. But there are some things that Disney is pretty consistent about. Everyone's best estimate is that Halloweentime will start on Sept 24; and I'd bet money on that date.

And if it's not that exact date, I would bet that it would be because Disney wants to promote the popular Halloween events even longer; so they could conceivably start it even earlier.

Thanks for the estimate. That helps -- I guess I could just book something then cancel it if it wont be open -- we really want to see it.
