The face characters at the parks are returning with hugs and hand shakes. I would think costume characters, like C&D, would have been back too.

They are a "Squirrelly" couple characters!

I think it may be an issue of hiring/paying/finding another talented Cast Member to lead the sing-along, @nancipants. Actually you probably need two to split the nights up and provide backup/vacation coverage. I go back to the days of Miss Sundee and Miss Julie (who split coverage in the early days of my Fort visits post-2000) to Cowboy Anthony and ???? more recently pre-pandemic.

I doubt it's a budget issue given the amount we are paying nightly for campsites here lately.

I heard a bus driver say that the Fort is currently sourcing a large cache of chocolate chip cookies in order to draw C & D back to the campfire


The "cowboys" come from the entertainment pool and travel to the Fort. Ms Sundee and Ms Julie were CM's at the Fort full time. In fact Ms Julie can be found at the chuckwagon most nights. I always grab a popcorn and say Howdy when I am there.
