Trying to figure out where to stay on our next trip. I'd love to stay at CSR again, but my BF wants to stay at CBR because he loved the outdoor pool bar that was open late. He's also open to staying at a resort that we haven't been to yet.

Can anyone tell me which resorts besides CBR in the mod and deluxe categories have late night pool bars? Or at least a nice themed one that isn't full of conventioneers?

I want to go for my birthday, but it happens to land on Palm Sunday this year. Is all of May a regular rate? Wondering if we should go in May instead and get more bang for our buck.

Thanks in advance!

The Poly has a beautiful themed pool and a smaller quiet pool with a genuine deep end. It does not have a late night pool bar. There is, however, the Tambu Lounge located adjacent to O'Hanas on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House. The Tambu Lounge has chairs with stunning views of the Poly's pool complex, Seven Seas Lagoon, and the Castle at MK.

Hmmm...good question. I believe the pool bar at POR is open late.....I believe I saw it open one night when we were heading to our room and it was quite late. They also serve snack food out of there and light meals I believe.
Usually we are so tired by the end of the day I can hardly wait to hit my pillow... :flower:

I have only stayed at CBR and OKW. And, if choosing one, would go back to CBR... mainly because we loved the close proximity to everything and also the food court. However, OKW is a very beautiful resort. The main pool area is very nice and has a boat dock, pool, hot tub, sauna, snack stand and also a bar area. The bar drinks (specialty) were kinda pricey but it would be a nice place to have a drink...

Have you considered renting someone's Disney Vacation Club points? That's what we did and got an awesome deal on OKW. Cheaper for us than CBR.

Either would be fantastic!!! :cool1:

The Boardwalk has some nightlife with Jellyrolls and ESPN. No late pool bar though. If you stay at the Disney Hilton, you can walk to Pleasure Island.

As rar as rates go, for some odd reason, each resort has a different value season, regular season & peak season. You can check with Mousesavers to get a better idea. http://www.mousesavers.com./

Thanks Eljay! I'm going to debate all weekend about whether to go for my birthday or not.
(BTW, sometimes I go by Eljae since my initials are LJ and people call me that all the time ;) )

Almost thinking Port Orleans so we can take the boat to Pleasure Island, so if they have an outdoor bar, that would be a plus!

I was thinking about that, but don't you have to stay a whole week? We may split a stay at Universal since I can get a discount there through work.

No need to stay a week when renting DVC points. The rentals are alloted points to individual days (much lower sun-thur). Just use the point chart to figure the # of points required for when you want to stay, and hit the rent/trade board and look for someone renting points (usually $10/pt)> :goodvibes

Hey, LoraJ! There's also a bar at Port Orleans-Riverside that's supposed to be a blast. I've read about the fun piano player and the good drinks! Enjoy!!
