night time shows with preschoolers?

Hi all! Planning our first disney trip and wondering about night time shows with preschoolers. Our daughter will turn 5 right before our trip. We don't plan to stay for each park closing show, but do hope to pick one or two. I know I want to see the MK show. What other parks have night time good shows? If you had to pick a favorite (other than MK) what would it be?

We love Fantasmic. Our kids were 5 & 2.5 in Oct and both stayed awake and happy during the show.

I would plan to stay in DAK after dark to see the Tree awakenings show. It is pretty and I bet your child would like it. I am not sure about the ROL though, as I have never seen it.

My DGD loved MK at night. We planned at least one late evening in the Magic Kingdom for the family, and many times two. It is not just the evening entertainment, but there is something magical in that park after dark.

I also think that Illuminations is worth a late night.

I woudl not take her to Fantasmic, it is scary for kids IMO so staying out late for that one woudl nto be on my radar. I thin though, if fireworks are a favorite, that display in DHS was one of my DD's family favorites. I have nto seen it, so I am not able to say.

We love all the nighttime Disney shows! Magic kingdom and fantasmic are my family's favorite! We have taken all ages of kids to it our youngest is 2 oldest 17 and only one was alittle scared one year but not at the whole thing...just a couple of minutes and we were able to stay and watch ( fantasmic...I mean) and she is our very sensitive child! I have one that has a hard time when it's loud so for shows and fireworks we take his ear muffs ( baby banz). So he's fine. Hope you have a great trip
