Im looking at the possibility of having a no kid anniversary dinner in WDW...but not for another year. ;) Im a planner, what can I say?
So for fun Im wondering, where would you choose if...

-you are a plain eater...nothing funky(definitely not V&A)
-you dont eat fish
-you want a "nicer" place where you can dress up a bit, and wouldnt usually want to take the kids there.

I should add my first choice would be the Kona Cafe, but knowing that my kids do like it there, Im sure we will be eating there another time during the trip, so thats out for that night. I guess I want something different.
Any ideas?

Artist's Point at WL would be one suggestion.

You sound like me, especially the no fish part!!! I'd recommend the following:

Narcoossee's: Yes, this place does serve fish, but they also have some other fantastic things on the menu. We usually eat here every trip.

Yachtsman's Steakhouse: What better for a non-fish eater, a steakhouse. I've never eaten here, but I've read many good reviews.

Artist Point: Again, for a not too adventurous eater, maybe a good choice. The buffalo steak here is fabulous and the cobbler for dessert is out of this world.

Jiko: The filet with mac and cheese is just so good, I want one right now!!! Yes, the food is definately a little different, but it is wonderful and not too eclectic. I'd say if you're willing to take the chance, you wouldn't regret it!!!

Citrico's at the GF was good. It had a really nice atmosphere, and the service was outstanding!

We are doing Citrico's in July without the girls. I will let you know how it is!!

Shula's-- even though there were a few kids there, it felt very adult. Also, great food!

Thanks for all the input. So far 2 that I had thought of have been mentioned...Shulas & Yachtsman. How is the atmosphere at both those?

Atist point and the Yachtsman. steak house are very good choices. I would pick the latter, I loved the food, the atmosphere was great and the waite staff was amazing, let us know which way you are thinking of going. You'll have fun no matter where you go, NO KIDS! LOL :D :Pinkbounc

Shula's is my recommendation if you or dh are steak people. It is simply the BEST steak I have ever had and if you've seem my size and would check my cholesterol you'd know I love my red meat. The atmosphere, for me depends on the room you're in but it's not romantic, it's more like an "good ole boys club" If you or dh like football thee is great memorabilia.

A few choices:

Artist Point - The whole atmosphere of the WL is relaxing. The restaurant itself is very rich looking with a nice view of the lake area. Excellent food and romantic surroundings.

Chefs de France - Don't disregard this park favorite. The restaurant at night seems more romantic and beautiful then. Service is slowed down which is nice if you want to unwind and talk. Have a late dinner when the rest of the park crowd is getting set for Illuminations.

Citricos - One of my favorites anywhere for fine dining and terrific service. The atmosphere is bright with windows facing the lagoon. You can also catch a glimpse of the MK fireworks from the front room. They serve creative Meditteranean fare with a menu that changes seasonally. Some items may not appeal to a "plain" eater so check a few menus before making a PS.

Palio - Italian with more flair than Alfredos. Follow with a stroll on the BoardWalk.
