Night of Joy

Yes Anita, I was right at the stage, inside the ropes. I leaned on the gate all night. My feet hurt SO bad!

DId any of you walk down Main Street right after newsboys were done? We did and they were playing that Audio Adrenaline song "Big House" (or whatever it is called) and everyone was singing. It was so cool!

I would not go to NOJ again. Too many people, no place to sit, have to run around to all the different stages, short concerts for the artists, and long lines for the rides. Altogether, not worth a minute of my time, or a dollar of my money. We had an awful experience this year-it was not what we expected-and will not go again.

this is just why we stayed put at the main stage. I think the one hour plus they each got was a lot. We didn't try to do any rides. Well, that isn't true. We did do a few before the concerts started and there were no lines at all. Afterwards though it was horrible. I wasn't there for the rides though.

And lets not even mention the horrid lines at the end of the night. We were smart and parked at the Poly and took the boat back over....no line for that at all! The lines for the monorail and busses were unbelievable for sure. They were 100 times worse than in June and those were 2 hours long then. And then NO parking AT ALL at Pop Century when we got back. We finally just made our own space!

This was our first NOJ, and we have mixed feelings about it. It was actually our first separately ticketed event. I foolishly thought that the crowds would be more manageable due to the separate ticket-HA! I wonder how many people were actually there? We did enjoy hearing Big House early on Fri. night; that especially was cool for my kids: 14, 10, and 7. The low point of the evening was when we split up and couldn't get back together. I had taken the kids on a few rides, and DH went to get a spot for SCC. He did get a great one, right at the front ropes. Problem was, folks were so tightly packed that we couldn't get to him! We ended up hanging out at the water fountain area by the bridge on the right hand side of the circle. My 7yo freaked briefly when we couldn't get to Daddy. Tired kids was another issue. We had stayed up late Thurs. and slept in, trying to get in the groove, but the little 2 still had enough before it was over. I would try it again having been there now and doing some things a little differently. I got a survey from Disney in my email today. Anyone else?
