Does anybody know if you can do the armband thing with Night of Joy like you can with EE nights? We are going and plan to do Night of Joy and wander if we could skip the lines coming in and already be in the park? Thanks for any info.

I don't know the answer to your question but I had one about Night of Joy too....does anyone know if they have fireworks for Night of Joy???

Thanks!

Night of Joy usually includes a special fireworks show.

In past years we have done a "mix-in" where groups can opt to come in as early as 4pm and are allowed to stay in the park during the hour the park is closed (rather than leave and come back). There has been a mixed reaction to this the last couple of years, so I'm not sure if it will be offered this year. I am also not sure if there is an added cost involved for the mix-in.

Here's the way it has worked the past three years that I have taken my Youth Group to NOJ. If you purchased tickets ahead of time (like around June/July) and you purchased at least 10 tickets- then you could enter the park at 4:00pm and stay until close of NOJ (you are given a wrist band to be able to do this). You did not have to leave the park and re-enter. However, if you bought individual tickets you enter at 8:00pm. The park closes to regular visitors at 7:00pm. So, that gives them time to clear out the park of regular day visitors before they bring in all the NOJ guests.

Now, not to be a bearer of bad news BUT this event is very crowded and loud. I have gone three years and there are A LOT of unsupervised teens in the park. If you can go on a Friday evening the crowds are much less. The lines on a Saturday are about 45 minutes to an hour. There are some great Christian groups and the atmosphere is lively. Unfortunately, I have "been there- done that" and we are not going back for a fourth year!

Please don't let my opinions sway your decision- I just wanted to be honest so no one is disappointed after paying a substantial price expecting it to be like an e-night.

I agree, the crowds are out of control. A lot of unsupervised teens. We went last year, and will not be attending this year. We did not see any fireworks, and stayed till they asked us to leave. Don't for if you want to ride rides, especially on Sat. If you like the bands, just plan on that. We pre-bought our tickets and have APs. We entered the park, got a PS at Tony's for 7, when the park closed, and were done eating in time for NOJ. It worked well for us. I didn't hear anything about a mix-in, but I also didn't ask.

Have fun, and keep a sense of humor, that's the only thing that will help with the crazy teens running around.

To expand on what mco-missy had to say, I have the group sales brochure for the 2003 Night of Joy in front of me. It reads: "Groups enjoy more time in the Magic Kingdom with exclusive 4:00 P.M. early admission event day."

You only need 10 people to make a group. To get an order form, call 1-877-534-2309.
