Night of Joy~2005?

I know the dates for Night of Joy are Sept. 9-10, 2005, but I wanted to know if anyone knows or has heard when the tickets will go on sale for it and who is going to be there this year( to perform)?

I was on an online ticket website, iTicket.com, and here's what they had listed for Night of Joy:

September 9 - Newsboys, Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, Audio Adrenaline,
Superchick, Mark Schultz, Big Daddy Weave

September 10 - Newsboys, Superchick, Kutless, Further Seems Forever

I checked on Casting Crowns' website and they have the 9th listed on their tour schedule (they are my favorite band!).

The 9th is our last night, so we'll be at the concert for sure.

Keep in mind that Universal does a very similar event on the same weekend... whatever big names aren't at one park are usually at the other.

My 4DD loves SCC. Every time we get in the van she wants to hear 'Fingerprints of God', 'Dive', 'Whatever' or anything off the Speechless CD.

NOJ is sooooo much fun,,,,,we went last year and it was 3 nights,,,,it both SCC and MWS were there,,,,the 1st night it was rainy, but it was all very fun,,,a radio station broadcasted from the event, and Christian music rang out through the park,,,it was so cool to worship in front of Cinderellas castle!!!

Oh, do tell us about this. How are the stages set up? How many, just one or more? I read stages somewhere, so assume there are more than one. Where are they set up at? Does more than one band play at the same time, assuming there are more than just one stage. Are rides/attractions open? Which ones?

ok, here are some details,,,,,,

main stage was at Cinderellas castle,,,,2 performers performed here 2x each (concerts were about 45-60 minutes)
stages also at
the outdoor theater in tomorrow land
the restaurant between tomorrow land and fanstay land (with the moving stage)
frontier land - between splash mountain and pecos bills

the little character area in fantasy land had DJ's and characters all night long!!
in adventure land there was a little area near pirates that had kareoke and video games!!

Christian music was everywhere, it was soooo cool!!! Performances went on simultaneously, so you couldnt get to absolutely everyone, but if you ran, you could do most of it,,,,when you go in, the schedule is posted so you can decide what you want to do,,,,people lined up for performances early, just like parades!!! definately major rides were open,,,,all the mountains, buzz lightyear, astro orbiters, carousel, pooh, peter pan, that mickey movie in fantasy land, pirates, some rides were being refurbished when we were there,,,it was pretty busy by saturday night, lots of youth groups there,,,we were definately able to get in at about 4:30 even though the event started at 6,,,at 6 people without wristbands were not allowed on any more rides or in restaurants,,,,,major stores were also open,,,,they did sell NOJ shirts too!!! dont wait till the last night to get one like i did,,,,i missed out!!!

lots of people wore Christian T shirts, so dont forget yours!!! i think it truely was the happiest place on earth those 3 nights last year!!! it was sooo cool, i definately want to go back and bring some friends!! not alot of emphasis on preaching, more on singing since the sessions are shorter than a normal concert,,,,you will LOVE it!!!!

So, another question for those that know. SInce these two events are held the same nights, is it possible to go to both? I mean, do they have the schedules posted ahead of time, like the actual times each person/band will perform. '

I read that this runs from 7:30pm to 12:30 am. I assume the park closes at 7pm for those not going to this event. Can we get in earlier? You said you were there at 4:30! Was that just with the event ticket or did you have regular park passes? I will have an AP, but my friend won't. We do plan to do SeaWorld during the day Saturday, so aren't interested in doing the Disney parks that weekend really, but if we can get in earlier, that would be cool.

I would also like to know how early we can get into the Magic Kingdom park with just are Night of Joy ticket? And also when did the tickets go on sale last year and do you know if you get some kind of deal by buying your tickets over the phone vs. buying them when you get there? Someone had also told me that when the night was over they gave out CD's of the music they had at Night of Joy, is that true? And I am sure I will have to buy a Night of Joy t-shirt!

Last year they went on sale in April and I know they will sell out....so try to buy early. And getting them early saves you a little money, as well as buying a day night pass.

We will probably be doing one night at Disney and the other at US, to see MWSmith!
