Night of Arrival?

On the night of arrival I would like eat somewhere a little special to kick off the start of our trip. Kids are 4 & 7 and would like to have a fairly early night because of the big day ahead. Any recommendations would be appreciated. We will be staying at Wilderness Lodge.

Though I found the food to be terrible, Chef Mickey's would be a good start with the kids because of the characters. The clasic Disney characters are there and it would be easy to get to from WL.

I agree. But make that PS fast because early (and reasonable) seatings for Chef Mickey's book up FAST. I tried getting a dinner seating for CM for our first day about 2 months ahead of time and the earliest seating they could give me was 7:30 PM.

I agree with Chef Mickeys. I think its a great place to start the vacation and get you in the disney spirit.

We are eating at O'hana on our first night. I'm hoping to see wishes during dinner.

We are eating at CRT the first day since we'll arrive around lunch. You probably want non-park - I think Ohana, Whispering Canyon, Chef Mickey's or if you have girls - 1900 Park Fare with the princesses.

We are going to the WL on Aug.25. We arrive late afternoon (3-4pm). We will check in and probably go have dinner in Downtown Disney. Then walk off dinner...until we get to Ghiradelli's.

With our 3 kids DD's (10&7) and DS(2) we will probably go to Rainforest. They love that place.
