These are so fun to read - all the transformations; how some people like one nickname, but hate another; etc.
I'm Karen but when I was young I went by K.C. (just like someone on page 1). My husband calls me "Chickie" or "Chick" - a shortening of my maiden name. In fact, my mom always called my dad "Chick."
My mom, Patricia, went by Pat most of her life. Just five years ago, when my parents decided to finally move from the neighborhood they grew up in, she decided to reinvent herself and introduced herself to all their new friends and neighbors as Trish. I thought that was cute.
My DD, Cheyenne, came home from school last year with the name "Chey-Chey." I'll be anxious to see if that sticks throughout grade school.
Other DD, Savannah, knew her name to be "Banana" before she ever knew her real name. Mostly just DH and I call her that, but everyone knows who we're talking about when we say that. We have heard one or two people call her Vanna - I'm not crazy about that, but what can you do?
