My family and I are planning a trip next year and we all love NICK and we thought of maybe staying at the hotel. But I was reading some of the reviews and I was wondering if anyone stayed there and if so what you thought of it?

Its not a deluxe resort, so go in remembering that and youre there for the kids and the place rocks. You can find many reviews from people who sound like they have rotten cheese under their nose if you get my drift, but we had a blast.
Are there some unruly kids? Yes we saw them.
Many people drinking all day long? Yup, but so was I.
My shorts were 2 shades lighter from all the chlorine they use in the pool, but I didnt care cause the kids had a great time.

I'd go 2 days max and stay at the pool, I would not stay there for a week.

Read up on things if you decide to go, they (like all touristy things in most places) nickel and dime you to death.

We went and personally I hated it. There were kids running up and down the hallway outside the rooms all night, the staff was rude and the place was just run down. All of the paint was sun faded beyond belief and the resort was in need of some
TLC. That being said we would not go there again.

We have stayed @ Nick Hotel quite a few times before we have checked into our timeshare. My kids are now 13 and 11 and we are done going there, but we always had a great time there. It was always clean when we were there * I am a hotel snob of sorts and never had a issue with cleanliness* Go in knowing it is a hotel not a high end resort and u will be fine.

We always requested bunk rooms near main pool, because thats were we spent most of our time.Very good Pina coladas.Arcade is great. Character breakfast was fun. The other non character buffet no so good though. Kids enjoyed the 3D show, Nick at Night and we even did the kid care on time and went out and dined in Disney.

I would give it a try.

Thank you.. we would like to give it a try. Before we go to Disney we are spending 2 days at universal and 1 day at Seaworld and we were wondering how staying here would be getteing to those parks (not disney)

The Nick is a lot closer to Disney that US. That said, US is only about 20 minutes (no traffic) away. If your going to stay there, I'd recommend a full day of hanging out at the pool, it worth while, or at least our gang thought so :).

But if you aren't going to do a full day hanging out at the Nick, I'd stay at a US resort.
