Our family loves going to Universal Studios, I am almost sorry we spent SO much on Disney AP's last month because now the kids keep asking for Universal. Ok I am getting of topic here. Today the kids and I were watching Nick Gas on TV and its a cool channel with old re-runs of the Nickelodeon game shows (figure it out, Legends of the hidden temple, Double dare) so I was thinking how cool it would be to get my son on one of these show. I called Universal and asked if they still tape any of the game shows and she said that Nickelodeon is not even there anymore. I was so shocked. We have been a few times in the last couple years and just thought it was "closed" for the day when we went.
Does anyone know why they took that out and is there anything planned for that area?

i know nick was gone last year.

i do miss it...........

my favorite tour there was the ren and stimpy show........it was hot then and the tour geared towards that program.

The game shows that air on Nick GAS were all taped in the late 80's and the 90's.

LOL, yes well I am 32 and still stuck in that frame of time, I did love those 80's ;)

Yeah, those are pretty much the shows I grew up watching. Too bad Nickelodeon has totally gone in a different direction in the last 10 years.

Nickelodeon is gone...they have even removed the Green Slime Geyser... :sad2:

Most of the Nickelodeon shows were moved to California for tapings and the only thing left at Universal now is the Jimmy Neutron ride (though it does have many other current Nickelodeon characters)

Hey,
That is too bad on hearing that nickelodeon is gone, I went about 4 years ago with my kids and they saw it and wanted to go in, and of course the kids had their hands up to play the game, and my son got picked and the parent had to participate too, and I could died, I had to join in the game, but We won, and the kids loved it! nice memories!

The Green Goblin seems to have some anger management issues. And we thought the Grinch was a mean one. Geez. :rolleyes2

moderator, thank you for removing that, i think he was just "in character" but should read the rules.

Must have been some anger outburst to make him leave, Yeah the Grinch is mellow compared to Green Goblins Temper.

Thats was always a highlight to see GG and DD terrorizing the streets.

Haven't had a chance to confirm it yet but I heard that Nickelodeon has made a beeline for Paramount Studios. I know that the Paramount park here at Kings Dominion is doing a lot of advertising to come and see all of your favorite Nickelodeon characters at their park.

Although Nick Studios is gone, the Nick characters are still alive and well at Universal Studios.

If that is true then what will happen to the characters at Universal?
They are packed solid with them, sponge bob, rugrats, jimmy nutron.
And then you have the Nick Hotel. Isnt that part of Universal?

Nickelodeon characters and rides have been at Kings Island for several years. It is owned by Paramount.
