Nickelodeon Family Suites

We are staying at Nickelodeon Family suites hotel for a few days whie at Disney. Any recomendations for requesting specific area or rooms at the hotel. How far to walk to downtown Disney for here and any good descent price restaraunts in this area. Thanks for your responses. Peace

You would not be able to walk to DD from here. I would ask for a room away from the noisy pool area. We like Golden Corral for the buffet.

I am not sure you can walk from Nick Hotel to Downtown Disney. Using Google Earth (and maps), if you trace a line between Nick Hotel and Downtown Disney, the distance is 1 mile, but that means going through Marriott's golf course, highway, and other properties.

I am including a couple of pictures: one with the aerial view and another with the street map you'll see right outside Nick Hotel. Maybe that can help.

we normally eat there so Im not sure but I will keep a look out and let you know this week of anything close to property. we are taking the kids on wednesday for their end of the school year surprise

We stayed there last year and they really have a captive audience! There is nothing within walking distance of Nickelodeon.
We stayed on the inside of the area around the kiddie pool (not the bigger kid's pool) and found it very quiet.

Does the Nickelodeon Family Suites has a free transportation to all of Theme parks?

They do have scheduled shuttles to the four Disney parks and for Universal, IOA, Sea World. I remember seeing a schedule on the www.nickhotel.com website. I think registration is recommended. I am going there in June but I wont rely on the shuttle.
