We are staying at the nick hotel for 2 night in Sept. before we go to Disney.

few questions-

What time do the slides or pool open?

And does anyone know of any cheap hotels near nick as close as possible. We might fly in a day early and instead of spending that amount to stay there i might try to find a cheapie to stay at. So we can get an extra night of sleep before our big vacation.

how is the bus service?
Any input would be appreciated!

We absolutely had a great time at the Nick Hotel to our surprise. I believe the pool opened at 8A.M. Any other ?'s I will be happy to answer if I can :thumbsup2

In January, we went on a 3 night Disney cruise and stayed at the Nick Hotel after the cruise for 2 nights. It was awesome!

The night we arrived though, we were looking for some place "less expensive" to spend the night since we'd be arriving late and leaving early, so we stayed at the Buena Vista Suites and it turns out it was right down the street a block or so from the Nick Hotel!

It was a suite, so a separate room for the kids. It was fine and I believe we got a rate of $88 from Mousesavers or a link from this website. It also includes a full breakfast in the morning.

We are going in August. I was curious if anyone used the "Kid's Spa" and what it was like. I'd like to take my DD10 to get a manicure and pedicure, but I would also like to get a manicure and pedicure for myself at the same time. Do they also have services for adults?

We didn't experience the kid spa ourselves since we have two boys, but I can tell you that when I walked by the little girls looked like they were having a ball ;)

We used the kid's spa when we stayed in 2003, when it was the Holiday Inn Family Suites. My girls got their hair braided and loved the spa!

I believe the pools do open at 8 and last year when we were there, they stayed open until 11PM. It was great. Be sure to ask for a room by the lagoon pool, there is more action there. We never used the kids spa. The closest hotel to there is the Marriott and Gaylord Palms. You are right across from DTD if there is a cheap mousesaver rate there, it may be worth it. We also never used the bus service, we had a rental car. Have a great trip
