head's up for anybody who has a character suite booked @ the Nick hotel during the annual January refurb of the Lagoon pool.
Received a phone call requesting we contact them re our exisiting reservation. Found out that they are going to shut down the entire Lagoon side of the hotel too, which isn't their norm...usually just the pool features are impacted.
They tried to get us to switch to a standard room at a 'special rate' which happened to be the same one available on the website. I indicated it would take a bigger carrot to get us to downgrade, which wasn't forthcoming.
After I declined was told that they were able to locate a character suite in the Oasis section for us, but that we were 'lucky'
