I've been watching the Nick Hotel due to DS (6) wanting to stay there after our Disney Cruise.... when first checking, the Sponge Bob suite was $355 a night... Now, it's only $213!! Is this normal for the Nick Hotel??? :confused3

anyone have any experience with the Nick Hotel regarding prices? This is for the last weekend in April.... your help is appreciated!! Wondering if they might drop even further? :goodvibes

Hi,
Yes they did this to us too. When I first booked for last Dec. They were going to be over $200.00 anight. Then they dropped $166.00 and we ended up paying $138.00.. Just keep checking maybe you can get them even lower....
Carla
ps we love the hotel and our stay..can't wait to go back

Did they refund the price difference back to you? I'm watching their prices for early November and they are really high right now. I'm hoping they go down before then, but I'm worried about waiting too long to make the reservation and then not getting a room.

TIA!

Hi,
I had a credit card holding the res. So they just changed the price.

"Only" $213! Still seems very high to me.

Is the high price due to type of accom., amenities or the Nick tie-in (i.e. the kids want to stay there)?

I was exploring the idea of 1 night off-site to avoid the AS's lengthy check-in line we always experience. DS alerted me to TV ad & I went to their web-site & nearly fainted when I saw the prices! Not even sure how far it is from WDW but, seems really high for a Holiday-Inn type property, water area or not.

Can you sell me on it's charms and advise as to how long it takes to get to MK via car?

It's the end of April, rates are still high due to the Easter/Spring Break season... I'm sticking with All Star Movies for $111 a night unless this rate goes down significantly more. Last time I checked it was $355 a night!!!

Ouch!

That's alot of money for AS's too IMO. They seem to raise the prices @ least 10% a year, that's another reason we'd thought we'd staff offsite 1st night.

Enjoy your trip.

They are also offering a discount of 15% off of rate for 3 or more nights, 20% discount for 5 or more nights and 25% discount for 7 or more nights. This is called the best flex rate.

Also someone posted another discount code for 25% off any number of nights on another thread:

Attendee Special
Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn
25%off 2 bedroom kidsuites

I stayed at this property before they became Nick Suites (the famous HIFS) and just loved it. The amazing thing is I paid $65 a night back then!! The theming is not a plus for me since my only son is 13 but we loved the separate bedrooms and the breakfast. Imagine my shock when I found out how the prices rose in this time!

Interesting. Did the price drop coincide with the All-Star Suites going on sale?

Could it be that a Disney Resort drove the competition's price down? :teacher:

We just got back from Nick Hotel. Some minor problems... Check out my trip report in the Trip Report board. But we had the same rate drop. I checked every day at least once (often twice) and ended up getting my rate dropped twice from the original booked price... Ended up with Avg Nigthly of $130...

Hmmm...competition is always good for consumers. Don't think the AS suites are offering any discounts yet (AAA or AP).

IMO WDW doesn't want to just corner the market, they want to dominate it.

Do you have the link for your trip report? I couldn't find it.
