Nick Hotel kidsuite comparison to All-stars connecting rooms?

This question is for those who have stayed at both the Nick Hotel (or when it was HIFS even) and have ever had 2 connecting rooms at a Disney Value. Which did you prefer? Compare the room size for me. Which would you do again? I have stayed at HIFS when it was converting to Nick Hotel, so I am familiar with their layout and amenities (sp?). But I have never stayed on DIsney property before.

BTW...after staying off-site for previous trips, and coming back to the room to make meals I'm ready for a break. We won't be eating meals in the room...gonna only buy drinks and snacks for the room. So the fact that I could do meals in the room at Nick doesn't matter much. We are currently booked at ASMo 2 connecting rooms family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids 5-12). We plan on not renting a car, doing ME and taking advantage of the EMH.

Any input would be appreciated. TIA!

at the HIFS, so I can't compare...but we have stayed in an AllStars Music connecting room (double connecting to a king H/A) - 4 adults, 2 kids..

Having the 2 full bathrooms(the king room had a roll in shower) - wonderful :goodvibes
Onsite - absolutely can't be beat :goodvibes

If you would stay at the HIFS, then you would have to rent a car, and would be refused entry to EMH park mornings/night.

JMHO, stay onsite:)

We have done both and although we liked Nick hotel, we would definately prefer two connecting rooms at a value, mainly for the two bathrooms. Six people in one bathroom would be a pain.

Also, we felt we had more actual bed space with two rooms at value. Four full size beds vs. one king, bunk beds (which are rather tiny) and a fold out sofa. The bigger kids were much more comfortable on the pop century beds.

Either way you end up with more than one t.v..

You wont have a fridge at the value resort, or a microwave, but we could care less about that and just walk to the food court to refill our mugs.

If staying on property and taking advantage of the transportation and stuff, definately the value over the Nick. I would not want to be at Nick without a car.

Thank you for this information! That was exactly the kind of info I was hoping for. I already knew what it was like at the kid suite, but I was wondering if it would feel like I was going to have more/less room doing connecting value rooms. Sounds like I'm gonna have a little bit more elbow room. Thank you again.
