How is the bus service from the Nick Hotel to Universal? To WDW? Do you have to reserve a place in advance for the buses? How often do the buses run?

TIA. :)

We found that they did not run frequently enough for us, we prefer to have a car when staying there.

I am VERY curious about this as this is our only mode of transportation to Universal Studious and Seaworld. ANY info/ times or experiences is greatly appreciated.

I did a quick Google search (Orlando Nick hotel bus review) and found the following:

http://hotels.about.com/od/orlandohotelreviews/fr/nickreview067.htm

"We did use the bus service to the parks. The schedules to Universal, Wet and Wild and Sea world are very limited and full. You have to sign up for them the night before and usually there is standing room only."

Also, if you haven't already, check out tripadvisor.com reviews for the hotel.

Hope that helps! Have a great trip!

We've stayed at the Nick Hotel quite a few times and have utilized the bus service on occasion. You do have to make a "reservation" to ride the buses so they know how full they are- I believe we only had to make the reservation going to the parks, not returning b/c sometimes you never know when you are going to want to leave. We have never been on one that had anyone standing. They give you a schedule of all returning buses so you can figure out which to take. The only blip we had was returning from MGM one night, we were dog-tired and the bus was 30 mins late. We also missed seeing Osborne Lights so we could be on that bus. Had we known the bus would be so late, we could have dragged our exhausted selves to see the lights, so I was a little annoyed. For the most part, it has been fine and I love that they have transportation to all Disney and Universal.

Have fun!

Thanks for the info. I think we'll try the buses one day and if it's too much off a hassle, just use cabs instead.
