Nick Hotel and Hurricane Wilma

Has anyone stayed at the Nick Hotel during a hurricane? If so, how does the hotel staff handle this, and did you feel pretty safe? We are staying this weekend, and I'm very nervous considering the hurricane is now a Cat 5.
