Me, my husband and 7 year old daughter will be visiting WDW/US in December and I have been viewing this site for a few weeks. I still can't decide where to stay. Wyndham Palms was looking great until I read the horror stories about the timeshare presentation. CBM came in second until I saw that I couldn't get the $20 rate and that they're still refurbishing. Sheraton Vistana was a forerunner but I don't know where to get a good deal. I really don't want to spend more than $50/night. Help! (I'm trying to spend the least amount of money-I already airline vouchers from being bumped, 3 days left on WDW passes and discount US tickets. If I can get a cheap hotel, I won't feel so guilty for goint to WDW 6 months after DCL)

If you are just looking for an inexpensive hotel try travelzoo.com. I also would just check the rates for any of the Marriott hotels either Fairfield, Courtyard or Springhill Suites at Marriot Village at Little Lake Bryan. These hotels are very very close to Disney property and they are newer hotels (open maybe 2 years). They are clean, comfortable, and in a gated village. The Courtyard has an indoor pool and the Fairfield King rooms have a refrigerator. All have free continental breakfast including coffee, tea, juice, fresh fuit like bananas or oranges as well as cereal, bagels and muffins. If I can't get into Disney property right away this is my choice of off-site inexpensive hotels and beleive me when I tell you there are some scary off site hotels down there. Good luck and have a wonderful trip

Have you considered priceline? Two years ago I got the Doubletree Villas Maingate for $30/night. Last November stayed at the Hyatt Orlando for $35/night. They are both 3* and I have no complaints about either one for the price.

In April I stayed at Windsor Palms in a 2 bedroom condo for $55/night. Not thru priceline but from VRBO.com (vacation rental by owner). No timeshare presentations to sit through.

I bid at SkyAuction, so in December I now have a 2 bedroom at Orange Lake Resort and country club for $261/week total (about $37/night). Again, no timeshare presentation to sit through.

skyauction
you can't beat the price and you know what you are bidding on

I would also go with Skyauction is your sitatuation - you can always say no to sales presentation - unless they are included in your package. and Skyauction does not do packages unless they tell you in detail.
