Nicest Hotel You Ever Stayed At

We are not fancy hotel people, but our 10 year anniversary coincided with a family trip for my brother's wedding on the Kona side of the big island in Hawaii. We left the kids with family in the budget friendly rental house we were staying in and spent one night at the Hilton Waikoloa. We definitely enjoyed the giant manmade lagoon, etc.

We usually stay at 3 star chains or 2.5+ roadside motels with good reviews, that one was a four star. The only other times we've stayed at 4 star were on group arranged trips.

stayed at The Embassy Suites in (I think), Mason, OH to celebrate my cousins birthday. It had an indoor pool and a nice restaurant - I remember my cousin and I thinking that it had to be the fanciest hotel in the entire world!!!

they had some great restaurants-bon appetit magazine received reader requests for some of the specialty items individual locations served. as an adult the 2 hour free cocktail 'hour' each evening and extensive made to order breakfast buffett was very appealing. we used to stay at the one near the airport inn san francisco b/c they offered 2 weeks of free parking in their secured/monitored parking lot and free on demand shuttle to/from the airport (one night stay was less than the airport parking).

nicest embassy suites we ever stayed in was located in maui-just stunning and spectacular views.

The H10 Palacio Colomera in Cordoba was lovely. It's in a beautiful historic building and we had a room overlooking the pool area, which was absolutely covered in jasmine. It smelled amazing. The breakfast was great, too. Sparkling wine included and I had my first taste of passionfruit meringue pie.

Is that hotel a paradore run by the government?

The nicest Hilton's in which I've stayed are the Hilton Aleph, Curio hotel in Rome, the Hilton Curio in South Beach, Miami, and of course, The Logan in Philadelphia. I'm a diamond member and I love to stay in high end Hiltons on points.

Although, I've never stayed in a Hilton that wasn't nice, hence, my status. I'll be staying in a number of Hiltons starting next week when I go to my cousin's wedding, again in October for my niece's wedding and later this year in Poland... another Curio in Krakow.

Not the ones in Terre Haute, IN, or Slydell, LA.
Is anything "solid" in Terre Haute, IN? :rolleyes1

Please don't report me if you love Terre Haute, but I consider it the arm pit of Indiana. I strongly dislike going there for sports activities for the boys.....

We stayed at the Drake in Chicago at Christmastime in 2019. It was gorgeous. Such an old world style with the wood paneled bar and the older gentleman that were servers. Not the most expensive hotel we have ever stayed in, but we loved it.

You’re not wrong. We just dropped our son off at Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute, so we kind of have to visit. The school is at least nice and picturesque.

Either the Venetian - where every room is a suite and they had a gondola ride though the hotel - or the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando - pure opulence!

Hotel Colon Gran Melia in Seville
Grand Mark in Prague
Melia Serengeti Lodge in Tanzania
Spring Creek Ranch in Jackson Hole. The view was what made this one of my favorites
The Driskill - Austin
