I know I can always count on my DIS friends to help me out! I am the Director of Alumni for a university and we are planning a small dinner reception for approximately 25 people in Anaheim while we are there for a conference in April. We're staying at the DLR, but the prices are a little high for the university to pay meals for all attendees, so I'm wondering if you have any suggestions for nice, but not super expensive restaurants near DL.

Thanks!!
Becky

Perhaps it's a chain, but Cheesecake Factory is reliably OK and will accomodate large groups. You would probably need to reserve though, especially for a party of that size.

Cheesecake Factory
321 W Katella Ave
Anaheim, CA 92802
(714) 533-7500

Cheesecake Factory, Roy's Hawaiian Fusion, PF Chang's, CA Pizza Kitchen, Joe's Crab Shack, any of these will accommodate your party size as will others I didn't mention that are in the GW. Just contact them to let them know your party size and they will let you know if they have restrictions.

There's a Roy's there? That must be relatively new...yay! If you're looking for upscale, that would definitely fit your requirements, but is a tad pricey. PF Chang's has the atmosphere without the huge price tag, as well.

There's is Morton's on South Harbor Blvd, but you did say reasonably priced.

It might be helpful if you gave us a price range or price per person. Your reasonably priced might be very different than someone else's. :lmao:

Agreed, everyone's definition is different :P

There is always Tony Roma's across the street, not sure if they take ressies. A little further down Harbor is a Red Robins and Buca di Beppo. The nice thing about the resort area is there are so many dining choices at every level!

If you don't have a Bucca di Beppo near you- that place is really fun- food is served family style- they would help you figure out an order where you get say 3 spaghetti's, 2 of this and 2 of that...to feed all 25...

Not really, it's been there for a few years now. Not since the beginning but definitely for a while. lol We have looked at the menu but not eaten there.

The RR and Buca are by Joe's Crab Shack. Buca is definitely a lot of fun with a big group.

And include whether your total per person includes alcohol/beverages, tax, and tip (since the gratuity will be higher and most probably included in the total bill for such a large group).

The one time I ate at Tony Roma's on Harbor I felt that it wasn't up to par with the other locations I had enjoyed.

Another vote for Mimi's Cafe, though. :thumbsup2

Another vote here for any of the Gardenwalk Restaurants (CF, Roy's, PF Changs)..all reasonably priced and great ambiance

Thanks! These are great suggestions. Including tax I can pay $36 per person

Does $36 per person include alcohol or other beverages and tip (tip will be at least 20% for a group that large)? If so, that would give you about $28 or so for food and $8 for tax and tip.

You can look at the menus for the restaurants at GardenWalk (Roy's, Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang's, McCormick & Schmick's, etc.) to see how they fit your budget (they should, although Roy's might be on the higher end).

Also, you might want to look at the restaurants in DtD like Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, Catal, Tortilla Jo's, etc.

I agree with the rabbit. :) I also think if you contact the restaurant and give them your amount per person and how many people they can come up with a "special" menu that will fit in that price range.
