Hi everyone! I'm planning a trip for me and my mom in April and will be at Disney World for her 55th birthday. I would like to plan something special for her in the evening at a restaurant, but not sure which one would be the nicest to celebrate her bday. Originally I had thought of being at MK on that day so we could watch the fireworks at night, so are there any decent restaurants at MK or is it better to go to another park? She always goes out of her way to make sure I'm happy and would love to make her the center of attention for at least a day as she deserves it!

Thanks! :goodvibes

That is such a nice thing for you to do! :) What kind of food/atmosphere does your mom like?

She will literally eat anything except for Jello lol. I'm the more picky one. I hate seafood, so any seafood restaurant is out of the question. As for atmosphere, she goes with anything really, from really loud to really quiet! I've heard the Cellier is really good, so that may be an option.

We have enjoyed California Grill. Great for viewing fireworks from your table or the observation deck. It's a fun place. Food is really good too. We have also enjoyed Narcoosee's (sp). Food wonderful (especially the almond encrusted cheesecake! I'd go for that alone) atmosphere great. Request a table by the window and you can see the fireworks over the water. Beautiful.

Haven't been to Le Cellier. But I have heard good things about it.

We have enjoyed Artist Point. Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful resort and you can ride a boat to it from Magic Kingdom. The restaurant is very pretty and provides a quiet and relaxed meal.

If you want to be in MK for fireworks, I would do the Aftermoon Tea at Grand Floridian. I think it's a lot of fun.

If you want to watch fireworks from the restaurant, Ca Grill is your best bet. I prefer to dine here after fireworks when the place is less of a zoo.

If you are looking for great steak, Shulas is a thousand times better than Le Cellier.

i agree, california is nice when you plan it around watching the fireworks. citricos is also a nice venue but if you want to catch the fireworks you'd have to hit the beach at the resort or head back over the mk. i like these when i'm at mk since you only have to jump on the monorail to/from the mk.

i vote for artist point. if you make the reservation early enough you can then catch the boat back to MK in time for fireworks and the magic memories and you show. we just ate there in early november and the food/service was awesome.

we've eaten at cali grill and watched fireworks, and that was nice too, but I like artist point better.

Tony's is good in MK if she likes Italian.
Le Cellier is my new fav at Epcot..great steaks
The table service at SSR has awesome prime rib.

Oh dear, I must get my eyes checked, I thought the title said adult baby... :scared1:

The last trip we had a table in the sunroom at Tony's and got to watch the night-parade from there and it was timed in such a way that we got to watch Wishes from the head of Main Street and dash out to catch the first bus back to the resort without dealing with the crowds exiting. I know Tony's isn't a favorite of lots here, but I thought it wasn't too bad and the location was perfect.

Wow, thanks for all the great responses! I think I'm going to go with the Cali Grill. Seems like a lot of people are voting for that one!
