Nice place to stay for around $100 or less a night?

My future husband and I are going to be stopping at Disneyland for 3 days in June during our honeymoon before flying to Hawaii and I am looking for recommendations of where a nice place to stay would be that is close and for under $100 a night. Also if they serve free continental breakfast would be preferred.

My favorite is the Carousel Inn right across the street from the main entrance to the parks. I usually get a double or king room for $50-60 on an Entertainment or AAA rate. I've also gotten a suite for $99 with the same discounts.

Since its your honeymoon (Congratulations!!) you might ask them about their view suites. They are located at the end of the hotel that faces DL. Not sure of the rate on those though.

They have a continental breakfast, muffins, danish, toast, oatmeal, fruit, coffee and juice.

We got a Disney View room at the Howard Johnson for about $80 a night in December. This is a great hotel with a nice pool, good sized clean rooms, about 10 minutes walk from the park.

No breakfast - but Mimi's right across the street did wonderful, cheap food in huge portions.

I really like the Hampton in on Harbour Blvd. It is usually around $80.00. It has a nice breakfast and the rooms are neat and clean. I have never read a bad review from this hotel. We have stayed there 3 times and enjoyed it each time.

Congrats on the honeymoon and hope you find a special place to fisit Mickey on the way.

The Howard Johnson is a great choice. The hotel has interior corridors and most rooms have a balcony. It doesn't have any free breakfast and the room decore is very new but a bit bland.
The Candy Cane Inn has smaller rooms but the decore is very nice and slightly romantic. They have a good free breakfast.
Both places are under $100 and both are about a 7 minute walk to the parks.

I agree, we have stayed there and it is a nice hotel. The rates are not bad either. We are going in August and I got a rate of $69.0 a night without my AAA discount. If you stay at the Caroursel you won't be dissappointed.

It sounds like you have stayed at both the Howard Johnson and the Candy Cane Inn. Which one would you be most likely to stay at again? Why?

While I like the decore of the Candy Cane better (and tha fact that they have free breakfast) I prefer the Howard Johnson for its interior corridors, room size is a bit bigger, grounds are more extensive (but both are pretty), balconies and two large pools.

The Howard Johnson is a series of buildings - mostly low rise, but with one 7-storey tower which backs up against the freeway.

Rooms facing the freeway have quite bad noise, but those facing the other direction from about the 3rd floor up have good views of Disneyland.

You can see the monorail and the Matterhorn, but no actual rides.

However, at night, these rooms have a wonderful view of the fireworks and we watch a great display from our balcony one night (handy if you have small kids and don't want to stay til the end to see the fireworks)

These rooms cost a bit more, and are clearly identified on the Howard Johnson website - www.hojoanaheim.com. The rooms are not particularly luxurious, but have been renovated recently, are a reasonable size, in quite good condition and have a small refrigerator and coffee maker as well as a desk and cable TV.

The rooms facing the freeway have bad noise problems, but the Disney View room we chose you could hardly notice the noise at all once the door was shut - this was the major reason we chose it.

However the cheaper, non-Disney view low rise rooms would also be sheltered from the noise.
