DW organised an 80s Family Disco on Saturday night to raise funds for her two Brownie units
It was a great night with many parents and children dressing up in 80s disco gear! Including DW (I played it safe in jeans - well I did wear jeans in the 80s!).
We even had a demonstration of breakdancing from some local street dancers which was very good.
There was a great raffle with some really nice prizes donated from local supermarkets, businesses and parents.
At the end of the night we had raised well over £350 from ticket sales and the raffle - so it was a successful night
Now I know that Brownies leaders are supposed to set an example but DW and her other leaders got a bit too carried away with the 80s theme and decided to go clubing after the disco
So dressed in their 80s illuminous tights and leg warmers they cleared off to a local night club leaving me to walk home!
5am DW finally rolled in
