"... and for the first time ever, Halloween Horror Nights expands into BOTH parks...."

Well, it's a bit of an exaggeration when you have 2/3 of IOA closed. The only land in IOA that had rides open was Marvel Super Hero Island. You couldn't even walk past that area.

So they charge us more $$ this year because it is in "both parks" but in reality it was just USF plus 1/3 of IOA.

What an amazing revelation. I went the entire month without knowing this! :hyper:

Not entirely true- they also had Suess Land open and on most peak nights they opened DD and other rides in the Lost Continent.

Having been to most HHN's, this year was better (sans the lack of scare zones) than most.

On sold out nights they opened all of IOA including Jurassic Park, DD, Dudley, etc. Also on those sold out nights they opened some more rides at Universal Studios like MIB. In fact MIB will be open this Saturday night.

Just a little fact, the ticket prices only increased by $10 so they weren't doubled in price. Even when HHN was at just one park, many rides were closed because of houses in them. I would say there were more rides open this year than last year.

how do you want them to say it? It's quite obvious from their website that it wouldn't be entirely both parks, and like others said, they are now opening ALL of IOA on peak nights

I knew by reading the web site that not all rides would be open, but what I was unhappy about was on the date I went (10/14 a Thurs) they didn't open the US side until 9pm! Yes, they did end up keeping both sides open until 2am instead of the advertised time of mid-night. Problem was that from 6:30-9pm there wasn't much to do on the IOA side...seems everyone crowded into the US side at 9ish & the lines were horrible for an off peak night. I waited on lines that were 60 minutes long. They stayed like that until around mid-night. Yet, the next night (Fri) was a peak night & friends I work with went & said they had waits no more than 30 minutes???? By the time they finished all the houses, the lines had gotten longer. I thought the houses were good this year, but I didn't like the set up.... in addition to what had happened on the night I went, I thought it was way tooooo much walking from house to house... (IOA to US)... I liked previous year much better. just my 2 cents:wave2:

They had a private party that night. Universal was rented out. That's why it opened late.

I wished they would have announced that when they had that night as an off peak night. In reality..it was more crowded since 1/2 was closed to the general public for part of the night..there was no way to "evenly" spread the crowd out
