Nice hotel between WDW & Universal

DH and I will be spending two days at WDW (free admission on his b-day) and two days at Universal (I was lucky enough to win a ticket during the Super Bowl contest) in early June. We are Disney veterans but have never been to Universal. We are looking for a nice, not too expensive hotel that's about half-way between WDW and Universal. What area should I search on a travel site? Any help would be excellent!

Why not stay at one of Universal's onsite hotels? They are beautiful 4* hotels and within easy walking distance (or a relaxing boat ride) to the parks. There are 3:
Royal Pacific-south Pacific themed
Hard Rock Hotel- rock n' roll themed with lots of memorabilia thru out
Portofino Bay- Italian seaside village themed

The best part of staying onsite at Universal is you can just show your room key to bypass the lines. It's like having an unlimited fast pass. Once you try it you will be so spoiled. Ds12 says it's like being a VIP!

Well worth every penny but they do give AAA discounts too. Fri/Sat nights are a bit more so if you can plan Sun-Thurs it's cheaper.

Hard Rock is our fav. and I'm in the planning stages for an August visit. Can't wait!!!
