Great 1st period. But you can't rest on a 3 goal lead against the Pens. We all saw how quick the Pens scored multi goals against Ottawa. I changed the channel for 5 min and Pitt had tacked on 3 goals. But I did love to see Marshmont turn to Cook and go "What? What?" in response to how he broke free of Cook's check to score the goal.

But now Pittsburgh has a bona tide goalie contraversy. Though I will say Fleury has a cool mask. That is a great pic of Grimlock.

PS: Roenick didn't know what he was talking about. Letang COULD NOT ice the Puck for a clear because both teams were at full strength at the time. Did Letang make a bad choice? Probably. But he did have limited options.

So how do you fell about a 4 goal lead!! I just have a feeling this is gonna get nasty back here. I cannot wait to hit the Garden!!!:cool1:

Wow... 7 minutes to go and look at the empty seats.

When this series started, I defy ANY Bruins fan to say they knew the Bruins would win 2 games in Pittsburgh allowing the Penguins only 1 goal, nothing on the power play. Fantastic work by the Bruins!

It's an oft repeated adage, in fact they said it tonight, that there is nothing more deflating to a team than to allow an opponent to score in either the first or last minute of a period. Well the Bruins did it three times tonight. Wow.

I'm not going to say the series is well in hand or over, the Pens are too good, but you've got to love this situation. Even a split in the Garden would keep the Bruins in a dominate position.

Can't wait for Weds.

Sorry Amy, DenMig, Mandychelle79, mouseloversVT, roliepolieoliefan, Terry H... It looks like you are out of the running. The best the Penguins can win in, is 6 games.

Is it just me, or is anyone else really enjoying when "TC" calls into Gresh and Zo? And I have to apologize. "TC" is calling from Sommerville, but I believe he is originally from Pitt. It almost makes me want to get on Twitter just to see what is said about him.

I have to say I am really surprised the Bruins have won the first two games of this series. Not even that they won but put a complete whooping on the Penguins. I don't have much love for the Bruins since they defeated the Rangers but I am thoroughly enjoying watching Crybaby Crosby and company get their butts handed to them.

There is a LOT of comedic hating on Crosby out there. HERE is a link made up entirely of Crosby GIFs. My personal favorite, is the HERCULES CHECK . I love who they us as the 1st 2 test subjects.

We are just hours from face-off of Game 3. The Bruins can take a commanding lead or the Penguins can spring board themselves right back into this series. But all and all we can expect to be entertained by a great game. And that's what this is, a game.

I'm about to put on my PSA hat for minute. Please excuse me, and I will try not to be too preachy. I accept that I am a die hard Boston sports fan. I engage in discussions, heated discussions and down right arguments about teams, players and stats. I will engage in trash talk with fans of other teams. In fact, I routinely trade jabs with my cousin's husband, who is a die hard Jets/Islanders fan. I think bets between mayors are funny. As are pranks (Boston bar crank calling a Pittsburgh bar) and sales/promotions (Pittsburgh bar not selling Sam Adams or Boston Pizza temporarily changing it's name to "Vancouver Pizza" in 2011).

But as some of you may have already heard, and I just found out the other night, of a certain lead singer who made tweet that was not only blindly devotional to his team, but incredibly insensative. Now, I am probably 1 of the least sensative or politically correct people you will ever meet, but when I heard of this I went so far past offended and right into angry. I will not post any links to this tweet or supplementle articles.

Use your heads when using social media.

Now... To keep this post a little bit light, here is the article from yardbarker.com about the crank call:

After the Boston Bruins dismantled the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 2, some Boston fans decided to prank call a Pittsburgh bar. The Bruins fan asked the bar for “Owen” and after asking a few times finally said “Owen Two,” 0-2 as in the record of the series between the Bruins and Penguins.

I would've posted the youtube vid that goes with this, but it contains a naughty word or 2.

Game 3 tonight.

LET's GO BRUINS!!!

You gotta love that Kunitz breaks his stick slashing Chara in the leg and the announcers wanted slashing called on Z.

Comcast... PLEASE start carrying TSN.

What a monumental game last night. Epic game played by both goalies. Vokoun constantly got his body in front of the shots and a coworker and I both agree that Tuukka was doing his best Agent Smith impersonation last night. And the way every player in those OT's, to a man, kept their legs under them while playing 1 2/3 games in 1 night. Unfortunately for the Bruins, there was 1 player who wasn't able to make it to the OT. Campbell laid out to block a shot and in the process broke his leg. But dispite this, he got to his feet and stayed out on the PK for an additional 45 sec (this alone I thought should've earned him the Army Ranger jacket). He is now out for the remainder of the season. It is unknown who will be tapped to try to fill the vacant slot. Prime candidates are Daugavins, Soderberg, Pandolfo and Caron.

Game 4 tomorrow night. I'm definitely doubling up on my blood pressure meds before that 1.

LET's GO B's!!!!

That was pretty funny!

What, you're tired of the NBCS crew trying to resuscitate the Pens!?!?!? I agree, last weekend I was up in the UP of Michigan and it was nice that my motel had the CBC as an option.

I can't stand the NBCS announcers. They can't pronounce the players' names and they spend the entire time talking about the Pens. It's like the Bruins didn't even show up, and the Pens are losing all on their own. I need me some NESN!

I'm jealous. If I could JUST ONCE hear Don Cherry in between periods of the games this round, it would've been awesome.

I know what you mean. I said to BDLsgal last night "If Jack and Brick were doing this game, Jack would've been so excited at the end, he would've picked up Brick and thrown him out the booth." And could you imagine the commentary Jack would've had when Lucic rode Cooke like a toy pony in the 1st OT. And speaking of Lucic, if I have to hear "Looooo Cheeeech" 1 more time, my ears are gonna bleed.

As for the talking of only the Pens, I equate it to my school years. I would only study what the teachers told us what would be on the test. I think that's what NBCSN is doing here. This round was just for studying the Pens before THEY went to the Stanley Cup round.

Oh how I miss "Save - by - Rask!!!!!"

Yes, I keep telling my DH that the announcers didn't scout or study the Bruins before this series, because they did not expect them to be contenders. You would have thought, though, that after two convincing beatings, the announcers would have had something to say about the Bruins.

Nobody thought the B's would ever be in this situation but they have earned it.

I didn't even try to watch the whole game, though I did get up in time to see the game winner, and I'm still sleep deprived.

Game 4 is now a question of which is stronger, the Bruins killer instinct, or the Pens survival instinct?

Here's an unorthodox suggestion to sub for Campbell: put Bartkowski in. I know he's a defenseman but on that fourth line, which probably won't have a lot of minutes tomorrow, I don't think he'll hurt. In fact he'd be another defensive forward.

As much as I would LOVE for the Bruins to get the win tonight, I don't think it will be in the cards. And I blame 2 very negative omens. First, yesterday, I got home from work, bring in the mail; bill... bill... occupant... Sports Illustrated. And what was on the cover??? Tuukka sprawled across the crease. My thoughts, "Ohhhh, frickin' great." The second omen, and the more compelling one... Barry Melrose on ESPN predicted a sweep. Yep, the B's are screwed tonight.

In unrelated news, it was just revealed by Claude, that Kaspars Daugavins will be in the line-up tonight. Let's see if the Rooster can make an impact.

8 hrs til face-off.

LET's GO B's!!!!

Barry Melrose just gave your team the kiss of death. He is a buffoon.

Let's hope not, maybe I'll hit church on the way in town. Keeping to the routine so maybe bypassing the jinx. Pregame at the Fours!!!

GO B's!!!!!!

Uh, oh..... that's pretty serious. Looks like the Pens will now win Game 7 in OT! My condolences to the Bruins fans!

That was a hog wash penalty. Nobody blew a whistle for icing until after the hit. And why was Crosby impersonating a turtle after the Paille hit?

"Whoa dude. The name is Crush Crosby. Mr. Turtle is my father."
