NHL on OLN...no fights???

I don't know how many hockey fans are on the DIS, but I have a hockey question. Last night I was watching the Wings game on OLN (we usually watch them on Fox Sports Detroit, but if it's on OLN we have to catch it there). Anyway, during the third period there was a fight...but the second it became clear that there was going to be a fight, OLN cut to commercial and then went to the studio for updates. After a few mintues they "returned to live coverage" and the game was underway...the fight was obviously over as play had resumed.

Soooo, long story short question...does OLN not show fights? I can't believe they'd agree to show NHL games but not agree to show any fights that occur...that's just weird.

I forgot that OLN is showing NHL games -- I'll have to remember to try to catch a game on the station sometime and see if I notice anything. Maybe it wasn't intentional? Maybe they were due to go to a commercial and just jumped to it the second there was a break in the action (technically, most fights occur after play has stopped).

Dish Network has dropped OLN because they want more money.
Glad we paid for Center Ice.

OLN is one of the only channels we don't get - and it ticks me off to no end when we can't watch the Sabres games because they're on that channel.

There has been so few fights in hockey this year (compared to years past) I haven't noticed if OLN does that or not. Of course I've only caught a few games there because I'm a Toronto fan living in NY now so I watch most games on Centre Ice.

DH and I were yelling at the TV about that one. It was obvious, play stopped and then there was pushing etc. and poof there was a commercial. It wasn't like they normally do commercials, we thought our tv changed channels, it was so quick. We've decided if it ain't Ken, Mickey and FSD we won't watch. Love our Wings (DS is named after one) but they aren't on OLN much anyway this season.

Ok...so I'm not crazy. I started thinking "Ok, maybe it was just a regular commercial break, maybe I just wasn't paying attention". But darn it...NO, it was not a regular commercial break...it was CENSORSHIP!!!

And I just gotta ask...is your son's name Brenden or Steve???

It's Brendan, but I've heard of people naming their son Yzer. That's just a little bit too crazy, even for me!
