I going to start by saying that I have two favorite teams in the NFL, and they played each other yesterday.
I have to agree with patfan here - you don't seem to know much about football. The Patriot's o-line was awful yesterday. The worst I've ever seen in a Partiot's game. Their defense is average at best, which has been the case for many years. Something was way off on the o-line for the Patriots in that game and it affected Brady's performance in a bad way, NOT to mention the horrible playcalls by the OC. Going for it when the game is on the line not only once, but TWICE, on 4th down was a horrible decision that pretty much cost the Patriot's a chance to win the game.
Now, on the Manning. I have to admit - I was nervous about Manning going into the game. When he is on, he can hit every play. When he is off, he is OFF - and will lose the game for the team. Yesterday, he was more "on" than off, but he wasn't perfect by any means. Remember, it came down to the last 17 seconds where NE could have tied it up. It wasn't a blowout, even with the Patriot's playing just about the worst playoff game I've ever seen them play. The credit for the Bronco's yesterday doesn't go to Manning - it goes to the defense. They shut down Brady's offense, which is no easy task and something that most teams cannot do. And of course, the rest of the credit goes to Denver's O-line; the real unsung heroes that make the QB look good. For proof.....just look at what happened to Brady when he o-line didn't work. Made him look like crap, didn't it.
REAL football is not about the QB....
