NFL Playoffs

Why so much hate for the Patriots and their fans?:confused3

I feel like the Patriots are the Yankees of the NFL. Because of all their success in the past decade, it seems that everyone hates them. But I'm trying not to take it personally. I was a fan when they were at the bottom of the barrel and I'm still behind them now. They have really worked hard and built quite the team.

I'm not a fan of either team but I would love it if the Patriots won for Mrs. Kraft. :thumbsup2

I don't hate the Pats.

I'm a Giants fan...But I don't HATE any team or their fans.

Don't like Dallas, but I don't hate them. I think the Green bay fans I have had experience with(not saying all) are:3dglasses some of the more obnoxious fans...I don't hate them either.

Someone has to win...And someone has to lose. As long as the EARNED their win then good for them!:thumbsup2

and how else would they win if they have not earned it?:confused3
I think all the teams that made it to the playoffs earned their way there.

as far as choking ( re: the kicker), I think the whole team is to blame for the loss. not just one player. if the game had gone differently it would not have come down to so much pressure on one person. its a team sport and I feel bad for that kicker on baltimore, but the loss is not his fault.

I have no disdain for the fans. I don't particularly like the team because of:

1. Spygate.
2. Super Bowl XXIX

But I think the front office is run very well and Bellichek is a great coach.

And I dislike the Giants more. :thumbsup2

I mean if a team wins because of bad calls...and things like that.

And yes...This year the teams in the playoffs deserved it.

I think that the team is to blame too...That's why I feel bad for these players who get blamed for it.

I completely agree :thumbsup2

Go Pats!!!! Work hard, get the job done and do it for MHK!!!!!

Spygate was an extreme overreaction from the Media who overplayed the breaking of a very minor rule that a few months prior was not against the rules. Not to mention filming from that spot was something that the majority of teams were doing prior to the memo....the secret filming of the Rams practice was proven to be a false allegation...

And Super Bowl XXIX was Chargers vs Niners???? How do the Pats come into play there :confused3

Thank you for sharing that. I hadn't seen it yet. I've seen the oil painting that they spoke of, not in person, but the local news aired the presentation from the team to Mr. Kraft and it was very moving. You can tell how much she meant to everyone on that team.

Isn't that a great article. I teared up. That team is more like a family.

great article, I am sobbing.
I knew I loved them, I knew they were like a family, now I think I love them even more.

I was just thinking that I hated "Spygate" too because it was all started by a guy who fully participated when he was a coach under Belichick and then once he was a head coach of a rival, he didn't like it. Yet he took part for how long before he "blew the whistle"? I just saw that as very whiny and childish.

Perhaps the Media "overreaction" (your take, not mine) was a result of the underreaction of Goodell who basically gave a slap on the hand to Belichick.

Why is it that the whistleblowers are always the ones called names?

People forgive and forget after 5 years but I was thrilled that they got theirs in 2007. It was very fitting at the time.

Losing a 1st round draft pick is HARDLY a slap on the wrist...

So instead of my original post, I decided to share this today...which I think is just a fantastic photo from inside the USAF C5 (I'll have to double check to make sure I've got that right) during the flyover of Gillette Stadium yesterday.

Everyone is allowed to not like whomever for whatever reason, but I think this one is so silly. It's a case of technicalities and timing and interpretation. Let's say BB and staff were completely in the wrong. Who did they hurt? Not that breaking a rule is right (and I'm not real sure they did) but let's go with that. No person was hurt.

There are plenty of teams that have REAL issues and reasons not to like them. I do not like the Eagles because of Vick. He leaves, maybe they're ok. Then there's the Steelers. Do I hate them? No. Do I like them? No. Don't like men who abuse women. He leaves? Maybe they're ok. No one team is perfect is all I'm saying and if you don't like a team, just say so and don't dredge up silly stuff to support it, 'cause I'm sure whatever team you (generic you) root for has plenty of skeletons in the closet.

It's only a game after all.
