Nexus: How does it work?

How long does it take from submission of application to when you can book an appointment? We applied about 5 weeks ago and it still says pending review. We had hoped to have it by the time we go to WDW next week but that obviously isn't going to happen. No big deal because the lines for security weren't long last year at the same time in December but it would have been convenient.

My family of 3 applied about 8 weeks ago, got the email last week to book an appointment. The earliest we could get at Pearson was mid-march.

Southwest has been added to the precheck boarding pass for nexus slowly more and more airlines starting to be added

We applied in April, and were able to get an interview in early August. Couldn't get anything at Pearson, so ended up driving to Fort Erie for the interview. The cards arrived about three weeks later.

We used the cards for the first time a few weeks ago, and my goodness how wonderful and easy! We crossed at the Whirlpool Bridge at Niagara Falls (Nexus only) and then crossed back at Fort Erie. It felt very odd not having to produce a passport!
