Next weeks (Sat.) Pins! HELP

My dd and I will be in WDW next Sat. Thats the good news... The bad news is that I am gonna miss out on standing in line at my local DS to get next weeks pins. I was all set to go to the DD store at WDW and get them. However, someone in line this morning told me that they DONT sell them there. ONLY at the DS. Can anyone tell me if this is true?? And if it is. where is the closest DS to WDW, how far..and how do i get there. THANKS

Correct. They do not sell the TDS in WDW, even WoD. There have been posts. You may want to do a search or look down the list. I can't remember what the thread was titled, but I think it was something like "Where is the nearest DS?".

The nearest DS to WDW is the Florida Mall in Orlando ( 30 minutes?) or the Fashion Square Mall also in Orlando ( 45 minutes?).
From what I hear, they have big crowds waiting at opening on Saturday pin mornings. You might want to get someone to buy the pins for you elsewhere.

I was in WDW the last Sat. in October and called a TDS in Bangor, Me to have my 2 sets shipped. This was easy and efficient, but VERY expensive for the shipping $25 ($1 per item handling fee + $10.95 flat shipping rate.) I'm pretty sure not all stores have these same exorbitant fees. If you decide to go the calling and ordering route, post here and I'll post the phone #'s off some of the stores I lined up which are able to ship (most stores take care of the customers in line before they agree to ship, and there aren't MANY stores who have anything left after that!) Good luck and have a GREAT time in WDW. I wasn't nearly as stressed about these pins once I got there!

I called many, many stores before my trip to find out opening times, and if they usually had pins to ship, and this was my list in order of preference. You might want to call before you leave to find out opening times and shipping charges. (Stores are opening earlier for the holiday season and apparently, shipping costs can vary; I wish I had thought to ask about shipping charges...Oh, well). Good luck!
