Hubby is thinking he would like to go to Florida next weekend!!! :woohoo: I am ecstatic but hesitant because of the airfares so am checking as many as I can from everywhere in the Midwest:goodvibes

How busy is President's Day weekend at Disney? I know Valentine's might be nuts.

I went once on President's Day .... never again!!! It was beyond crazy! And tie that into Valentine's Day and I"m thinking it will be pretty busy. But, having said that, I would NEVER pass up a trip to Disney! Just go into it knowing you get there before rope drop, and lower your expectations about how much you will get done. :)

Yikes! I hate crowds, but I'll have to manage - oh, what I do for Mickey! I sure hope he appreciates it! :lmao:

I'm thinking that if hubby gets his way, we are going to be meeting with a realtor on Saturday anyway and will really only have time for the parks on Sunday - we'll head to MK before rope drop and hope for the best! I'm making some tentative plans anyway!

Hubby hit me with a whammy on Friday - he would like to buy a second home in Florida and just spend all our vacation time there - we get about 4 weeks off a year together so this will fit perfectly, especially since I can carry on my Disney addiction with hubby's full blessing.

I am hoping that all the paperwork will be in place and we can go by next weekend but if not, I think the next weekend might be an even better choice because of the crowds. :goodvibes

My sister is going to WDW departing from Brazil this coming Friday, so I checked everything for her.

According to a website I subscribe to, the days between Feb. 11th and 20th are classified as 4 stars in terms of crowds.

Above 4 starts, only New Years and March Break, which are set as 5 stars.

Get to the parks as early as you can, make sure you use Fast Pass to the busiest attractions and enjoy your vacation.

It is NUTS! We have been there for Valentine's Day and PD. MK was worse than Christmas week on Feb 14th. Just enjoy what you can and make the best of it.:goodvibes

Well, I think we're scheduling our trip for NEXT weekend (the 19th) so that we can get more things set up here.

Wow .... that really surprises me about "March Break" because it's a Canadian (if not Ontarian) thing ... the US does not get the same week that we do ... spring breaks for North America are pretty much all over the map. I've been there for March break and it was busy, but no moreso than any other time I've been there. I really hope this info is totally offbase because we are headed down for this coming March break.

I'd heard Christmas week (including New Years), July 4th, and American Thanksgiving are the worst. Presidents Day a number of years ago was INSANE!

Bottom line, if you prepare for the crowds and do not get discouraged that you don't get to do 40 different things in one day, it will be fine! :goodvibes
