With the rumors of the enforcement on fastpass windows, it looks like Next Generation Fastpass may be on it's way. Just wondering if anyone had an opinion on how that would be handled with DVC? Rumors are those staying in the deluxe hotels would get more or better fastpasses than those staying in value or moderate. Just wondering how those of us staying through DVC would be treated? Any ideas/insight?

What enforcement on fastpass windows? We were just there the end of January and rarely used our fastpasses for the hours they were supposed to be used.

My guess is DVC would be treated the same as the deluxe resorts.

Those who Know don't Tell.
Those who Tell don't Know.

It's just too early to ask this question. We'll all find out soon enough.

Maybe it will be available to dvc members for a discounted fee, but it is being created to bring in additional revenue so I cannot see it being a complimentary perk. Or it may be "free" for anyone willing to buy a certain number of points direct from Disney ie, 160 points gets you a one year pass and 1000 points gets you a lifetime pass...

Tiered perks based on points. ;)

DVC members should get the highest perks available in my opinion, we were the ones who showed the most commitment by purchasing

This quote from the article scares me!
Utilizing it as our park ticket also gives us access to Disney's (yes, still free) FastPass system.
Does that rule out those of us who use the annual pass??? WE don't use our kttw as our ticket.

Normr, The problem is that once you purchased (past tense) DVC, Disney has no reason, obligation, or financial motivation to give you anything else other than what you agreed to when you signed on the Mickey line. On the other hand, people who have yet to purchase, that is a whole different ballgame. By the way, I am talking about direct sales only.

I've run into enough people who don't know how the fast pass system works now.

You still get dirty looks on Soarin, Space Mountain when you are in the fp lane.

From the article, I feel bad for the CM's that will have to enforce this policy if it actual comes on line.

Woaw! Interesting-I hadn't noticed that. Now I'm wonderring also if we APers can get it.

We better be able to! I think it looks cool and very convenient. Hard to pay at the Main St Bakery when you've got 4 cinnamon rolls in your hands!

I never understood why Disney doesn't enforce the times in the FP -- why put a time on them if it means nothing?

As for the XPass - when is that starting? We will be there over Easter -- not that I'd spend the $ on it but it would be interesting to see it in action. Should I keep an eye out for wristband-wearing guests?
