I'm guessing it's because they loved her food

They didn't like Jeffrey's during the party, but they're putting his mini challenge dish on the menu at the restaurant. They didn't even mention that. Ugh.

I agree Debbie didn't go home because her food was the best of the evening. Hopefully the judges will remember this and she will show her true colors again. I can see Melissa winning this. I know people have mentioned Robin does a similar sort of thing, but she doesn't appeal to me. I have tried watching her a couple of times and just don't care to watch again. At this point, I think I WANT Melissa to win.

Michael went home. His food wasn't great and he shot himself in the foot by saying "I'm great in crowds, its the camera that scares me" or something like that.

Melissa is my favorite. She is full of personality plus she is from Tucson which is where I grew up

I knew Debbie was staying as soon as they said they liked her food best.

I am *so* hoping she goes next week but with the editing who knows.

I knew Michael was going because he has always said he hates the camera. He really had to go sometime soon as it's getting down to the wire & it is a wee bit important to have the camera be your friend if you are on TV.

At this point, I would be happy with any of them winning except Debbie. I hope she goes next week. My favorite is Melissa.

I was willing to give Debbie the benefit of another chance until tonight. I was completely turned off by her actions at the party and later at the judgement. She made no effort to expedite anyone's dishes other than hers, and she didn't seem to hustle as much as Melissa and Jamika.

I knew Michael was going home the minute he admitted he hated the camera.

ITA - So her food was great......... it should have been that is all she worked on - so ready for her to get the boot! And good going Melissa to bring it out - loved the math portion Just wish it would have sealed the deal

DH stopped in to see what I was watching, and if it was a rerun - so I say - get this - they are so desperate for an ethnic - they will pass Debbie on and on because she is "Asian" if you didnt know, she'll tell you, over and over and over - yet every show - she has "issues"

so who will they cut? a white, young male, or an ethnic female?

and the way they said Debbie's name first - I thought they cut her! nope... not going to happen!

seriously they cannont have a final and be politically correct - they have to have an ethnic mix - it makes for a better show!

It makes me dislike Debbie every show - from the first where she was "all about me" and didnt buy the ingredients for her team - but she had her ingredients...

but FN knows their demographic better than I do!

Debbie's food was the best because while everyone else did their part to pull this impossible task off, Debbie only concentrated on Debbie.

I cannot believe they let Michael go. Tonight was the only time his food was criticized...if I'm not mistaken. And I'm willing to place money on the fact that the salmon that went out that was plated by Debbie, was plated without having been marinated at all. The judges said as much. I knew how she rolled from the first episode, when she sabotaged the dishes of her team mates by neglecting to get some of their ingredients.

I truly dislike Debbie and I'm tempted to not watch any longer. But I like everyone else. I'm just really upset that someone with Michael's food chops and personality is gone. Grrr.

On a lighter note, Debbie only said Korean twice, so I was only able to gulp my wine twice. But the second time I gulped it, it went down the wrong pipe, I choked and spit shiraz all over myself and my commercial book (= the book I read during commercials). And it's DEBBIE'S FAULT!!

I'm watching it again. Just some of Debbie's 'missteps':

NOT making a steak dish for a steak house that's adjacent to a wide variety of restaurants - what did she make, anyway? All I heard was spinach salad... but thinking it's a good idea to surprise people dining in a steak restaurant with a non-steak meal that they can probably get next door? Please.

Quotes from tonight's show:

"I'm responsible to make sure the food goes out." Ah, duh. Then make sure the food goes out!

"I'm just staying focused and not getting caught up in anything and, uh, doing my own thing." Yes, of course - because that's what an experienced(?) caterer does in a Food Network Challenge.

"I left Debbie with the instructions and I hope she understands". Poor Michael

And of course the classic:

"I was just being selfless." Somebody get that woman a dictionary.

About the only one I actually might watch is Jamika. Jeffrey is boring. Debbie's a conniving little backstabber but nobody's going to know that unless they watched this show. And I'm not really interested in watching Mom cook meals for the family.

I cannot believe that Debbie didn't get sent home! Obviously her food is going to be the best: she was able to dedicate all of her time to just HER dishes.

As for the earlier challenge, the restaurant was touted as "an American-style" steakhouse (or something like that). That was her chance to show that she was able to step outside her comfort area and make something that did not have an Asian influence to it.

On a happier note, I like Tamika, Melissa, and Jeffery. I think I'd give any of their shows a try.
