Hello,

**Sign ups will start 10th Feb and a rough mail period of 19th - 28th Feb. Hope you can join in!**

After receiving a non-exchange related package from an American friend I thought about this exchange. In the package was a copy of their local newspaper which made great reading for all the family. It was fun to read what made the news there, look at real estates prices, upcoming events etc and I though this would be a good basis for an exchange.

I was thinking that each exchange must include a newspaper but also have a $5 minimum to include some tea / coffe / cookies / candy etc to enjoy whilst reading the paper. Postage should be not too bad depending on size of paper and other goodies included.

I would be very happy to run this exchange as I did the teatowel one combining DISsers and DIBBers (a UK Disney forum and my other 'home' :rotfl: ) so there is an option to send and receive internationally.

I would hope to run this say Feb/March.

Any thoughts or suggestions on this idea?

Not sure about the newspaper, but Luv2Roam has hosted the tea/coffee exchange in the past. You might want to contact her to see if she is doing it again this year. If she is, maybe she can add the idea of the newspaper.

Thanks for that info. It's the newspapers specifically that interest me, I only suggested the other stuff to help achieve a $ minimum - I love receiving newspapers from all over. We do have some rather fine tea over here though so might manage to join in her exchange.

Newspapers are good Sarah... hows about including some local junk mail with it to add an extra bit of excitement? Don't know about the bikkies though, as that would add the extra weight and would then up the cost of the postage:sad2: Teabags is a good alternative though:goodvibes

I LOVE a tea exchange!! I also like the newspaper idea..might have to only send pieces of it so it does not get too expensive! :thumbsup2

Don't do it till next year though...I am saving for Christmas and WDW and cannot do any exchanges right now....:goodvibes I sure miss doing them. :cloud9:

Luv2Roam will be hosting the tea/coffee exchange in January.
Not sure about the newspaper thing.
I think she is considering making newspapers, magazines and word puzzles an optional part.

Yea a tea exchange in JAN!!! :-) Just in time for my birthday! :woohoo: Also, we will be back from WDW by then and we might have some money to do it!!! :yay:

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

World Showcase is a good place to buy tea. I buy in Japan, China and UK.

And yes, I thought I would do the coffee/tea exchange after the first of the year.

I was introduced to my favorite tea during the exchange last year.
The Twinings Christmas blend  I bought 2 boxes this year at Epcot in the UK :teeth:

I'd luv to join in on this one !
But no sending to "Hawaii" :goodvibes ;) ,,any Canadian Disers interested??

Luv Tea and visiting Twinings in Epcot!
A few biscuits to go with the tea would be lovely.

Cinnamon and clove....yummy :)
I love the cinnamon which I can find around here some places, but the addition of the clove just makes it all the better :)

That sounds great! I did see that on the Twinings site there is a Winter Spice that sounds nice!

I am happy to see they have Keurig K Cups since we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our machine we ordered Sunday from QVC to arrive. :goodvibes

I love the spicey tea blends :teeth:

Think it is about time to go get a cup this morning :teeth:

We were in the Twinings shop in the UK pavilion last Saturday evening. I was planning on buying a box. But noooooooo...... none in sight.
I think Nancy bought them all. ;) :lmao:
Next year I will have to be more of an early bird at buying them.
Then I wanted to pick up some more holiday blend coffee.
That had gone on sale at half off and was all sold out. So outta luck with that too...
I was able to find a few packages of the holiday sampler coffees. At half off that made me feel better. :rotfl:

:p I only bought 2 packs.....was hoping to buy more when we go back...but guess not.
I didn't see any on their website either :(

Where you looking for the Disney Holiday Blend coffee??? That is my husbands favorite coffee. We bought some at WoD in New York when we went up for the day last month! He can't wait to pull out the coffee maker and start having it tomorrow morning. :goodvibes :cloud9:

I have some Twinings Decaf K-Cups of tea that will be going in his stocking. I also ordered the Sleepy Time Celestrial Seasonings for him. Have you ever had that??

Yeah, that Holiday blend is GONE!
One place told me once it went on sale it was gone in a very short time.
Note to self: Next year buy extra and early!

I did buy some cute Alice themed tins of UnBirthday Tea. Has anyone tried those yet?
I bought the regular unbirthday tea and a sampler package. (Earl Grey, and two others.)
