Hi, everyone :wave2: DF and I are officially at our one year mark today:cool1::cheer2::yay::woohoo::banana::cool1:. We plan on mailing our save the dates out soon, but I noticed that some of the brides on here send a newsletter and a pre-rsvp request with their save the dates. We would like to do the same, but we just don't know where to start. We are worried about either putting too much information that we overwhelm our guests or not enough info.
Also, if any one has included pre rsvp requests, how did you ask it?

Any suggestions would be great!! Hope everyone has a great weekendprincess:

I am sending out newsletters. To decide what I wanted to include, I first looked at a few other newsletters used by other brides here, and tried to figure out what the initial pertinent information is. For the first one I included dates, times, and various other basic details. I have also created an online website on a free wedding site that allows rsvp'ing. The second newsletter I just sent out included detailed info on planning a disney trip along with expected costs. I am a disney travel agent so that helped with knowing what to include to talk about planning a trip. I have my newsletters in my pj (in my siggie) and a link to my online website is in my pj as well.

Good luck. It can seem overwhelming to start, but it really isn't too hard.

I sent out newsletters too. My 1st one I sent about a week or so after my STDs. My first one we had the date, why we picked disney, some basic into of where we are having it at disney, contact information for updates (this included phone numbers along with our wedding websites), Some available discounts and our room block information. It was 1 sheet front and back. I have both my newsletters posted in my PJ named : A soldier comes home to say I DO. I think they're on page 2. If you need a template PM me your e-mail address and I can send you a microsoft office template along with the examples that a former Disbride sent me. She was very helpful.

Good luck!

We sent out a newsletter at first but then we had to postpone the wedding. So to give our guests updated info in a more compact way, we sent out a brochure. Less overwhelming and cheaper to print off!

I just used a template off of Microsoft Word and played around with it.

We put a lot of info into our newsletter and then put the same info on our webpage. It saved us from having to answer the same questions over and over again and got our guests to make their reservations early. We had them pre-RSVP on our website, which was the best decision ever. We were originally looking at anywhere from 60-100 guests and by the time the pre-RSVP process was over, we knew exactly how many were were having and who was coming, etc., which made budgeting and planning so much easier.

This is the newsletter I put together using PowerPoint:

We are doing a pre-rsvp with our STDs. I just approved the typsetting yesterday so should be able to post it soon. :)

We are doing about 3 or 4 newsletters. The first one is going out with our STDs and I have posted it in our pj. I will send out one with the Holiday cards. Maybe one more during the summer with updated info and then a final one in their welcome bags. I have really enjoyed doing them.
