Yeah, all indications are that it is not being re-built due to the condition of the track, but instead to accommodate new cars and maybe change the ride profile a bit.

That's interesting to hear. I would rate the old Hulk ride profile to be better than any of the similar coasters in central Florida (Kraken, Dragon Challenge, Montu and the other green looping coaster at Busch Gardens). Better meaning smoother and less headache- and nausea-inducing. But for sure they could improve it, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they might change.

Rumors aren't always right - but a lot of times the rumors on rehabs get pretty close. There's some pretty specific rumors on exactly what's going to be done, including modifications to restrooms. It could well be a shorter shutdown than six months though. If I were you, I would be prepared for the fact it might not be open, and be pleasantly surprised if it is. If it IS a dealbreaker, you may want to consider postponing the trip until official word comes out.

Thanks for the reply! It isn't a dealbreaker, but it is disappointing that there isn't at least the offset of something new. We typically go in the summer, and this will be our first spring trip, so we are excited to see the different perspective.

Just going to say that a three episode extension is not a full season for the big channels, and seems to indicate that Muppets will not be returning for a Season 2.

At this point, networks will begin making decisions as to what is going to get a shot at a new season next year - those shows are going to be getting upgrades to a full 20-22 episode season (Quantico on ABC, or Limitless on CBS are good examples of this). For shows that do not get an episode upgrade to that total (Muppets is only going to have a fifteen episode season), it often shows that the network is not impressed with ratings - Muppets has seen a sharp drop over the past four weeks.

Only thing that would help The Muppets is if it was contractually obligated to have a shorter season. Some shows, like How to Get Away with Murder, are renewed with shorter seasons because they were slated that way from the start.

But yeah. I don't foresee a Season 2.

I'd say it's still up in the air, but not looking great. The ratings may have stabilized at their lower level and it's not horrible though nothing like the first weeks. Giving them extra episodes when they were intended as a short run (which apparently they were) is an odd move that might actually be intended to see if they can adjust their direction a bit and shore up the ratings.

It has felt like the last couple of weeks the show is finally finding its feet (more musical numbers helps).

if it was renewed for a full season at 15 episodes then that is what the contract was for. this type of show is very hard to shoot and the muppetteers also do other things so they may not have been available for more than 15 episodes. talent has alot to do with how many shows are shot and these aren't newcomers like viola davis, they may have said they would only do 15 episodes to see how things went.

We weren't too impressed with the first Muppets episode, but have kept watching it have have really enjoyed the last few episodes. I hope they keep it around.

My best Dis-Buddy and I are scrimping and saving for a quick (4 day) trip primarily to see the Osborne lights one last time. We even splurged and are doing the dessert party just so we can get out of the crush of people that will undoubtedly be there every night since this is the last year. Looking forward to it...in a bittersweet kind of way.

So depressing. What's worse is with the ending of the Jingle Jangle Jungle parade, there's now really nothing much Christmas at TWO of the parks. (Sure, there's some decorations - but really!)

I suspect we'll see a parade return in the next 24 months at DAK. Could be wrong.
As construction ramps up at DHS, Christmas is liable to be the least of their concerns.

Actually I think AK might never see a parade again. I feel DHS is more likely to get a parade back.
