What are these!?! They look like cloth over a frame. Is a temporary lighting tower for a special show?
They are going to be permanent the cloth covering is temporary as they are still building them. They will be the new homes of the projection system. They were in the concept art for the new hub. What are these!?! They look like cloth over a frame. Is a temporary lighting tower for a special show?
source? I trust you, I'd just like to read more...
Spirit is a source on the wdwmagic boards he has a very good track record.source? I trust you, I'd just like to read more...
Am I the only one who thinks that turret looks awful? I don't understand the point of them. Before, you couldn't even tell where the projections were coming from if you didn't want to. Now it's a giant eye sore. Is that really the finished project?

They are far from done with these. Tokyo has similar turretsAm I the only one who thinks that turret looks awful? I don't understand the point of them. The finished project will match the castle and New Fantasyland walls.
You can see them in the rendering below.

I, for one, will miss the old green gazebos. I saw them there as a child and for some reason, the image of them stuck with me during my long absence from WDW.

Well said. Spirit is a he. Spirit is also very willing to admit things change within the company and budgets get moved around so something he says today may not be the same tomorrow. He did get frozen in Norway right for example. I would trust things he says more than Jim Hill.My view of rumors from Spirit is that they are "more reliable" as in they sometimes turn out to be true. It seems to me he (or she) has an ear on the inner workings, but not necessarily with the decision makers. So, something Spirit says is being discussed, but doesn't mean it will happen.
Better than "A cast member told me..." but not as good as "Bob Iger announced today..."
