News Round Up 2021

SO many rumors on some UOR Facebook groups about capacity and what it could look like in the next month or two/all of 2021. None substantial.

whose the go to blogger/influencer for UOR for reputable rumors/first type news announcements? I like all ears, but it’s also much more... icing type news unless they get an official announcement (in which case I’d just see it on UOR Twitter!)

Although I am not on Twitter, a lot of people post UO info from this account...

Bioreconstruct

Hope that helps.

Just chiming in again to say I like your avatar! Let's go Mets! And finally signing Lindor! Been a fan since the mid 60's going back to the Seaver, Koosman, Ryan and Gentry! And I do miss Shea Stadium. Sorry to clutter this thread with my OT post, but with opening day...........

YES!!!!! So nice to see other Mets fans! It was so exciting to get the news this morning about Lindor!!! Let’s hope for a great season!!!!!! ⚾

PS - did you see tonight’s game got canceled?!

Although in reading the story, I hope for the sakes of those of us who are DVC owners this doesn't pass. It doesn't look like it would help us or lower our property taxes much, if at all. It might actually indirectly and eventually RAISE our taxes.

It likely wouldn't lower the appraised value much for DVC properties since factoring in resale prices wouldn't have a big impact for DVC. However, if it lowers revenue for Orange County, etc. because it lowers the revenue received from other local timeshares by factoring in their resale prices into appraised values, the local governments are going to see a big dip in revenue from property taxes on those properties. They may then decide to counter that and bring revenues on such properties back in line with what they'd been to raise the property tax rates on timeshares. Since DVC likely wouldn't see a dip in appraised value, it would then just mean we're paying more in taxes since I'm assuming they'd have to raise the tax rate across the board.

Definitely don’t want that!!!!!

"Up top is Siobhan “Puffin” Murphy, who traveled all the way from the small island of Dingle, Ireland, to pay a surprise visit to her distant cousin twice removed on her father’s side, Alberta."

Hey, my grandmother's family is from the Dingle area. But it's a peninsula and a town on that peninsula, not an island, unless they're referring to all of Ireland as a small island.

Alicia Stella. Might not help with regards to capacity stuff but she seems very tuned in with ride/park rumors.
