News Round Up 2021

Fake news 🤣🤣 (dont hate me).

Disney must be using aggregated data to look at a specific subset of satisfaction, likely in a specifically targeted group.
Majority of people are thankful Disney is open, but it simply doesn’t hold a candle to what they could offer and do prepandemic. (Facebook groups will testify to the sheer shock and utter confusion of the reservation system, ticket prices with limited offerings and dismay over lack of dining).

kind of makes me want to do a third party survey- but if it got too big disney would absolutely come after me for mining their data with my background knowledge.

I think a lot of people are just happy to be able to get out and do something like Disney even if the experience isn't the same as it used to be. I also think people are going to be more understanding of any issues that might come up right now. I'd love to go even knowing it isn't the same as before and would just be happy to be there.

I think if you asked about how satisfied people are with them operating safely during this pandemic, people would say yes. But satisfied you're getting your money's worth? Probably not... I agree, it's not accurate data.

As for the "satisfaction" question, I'm pretty sure Disney is comparing current answers to a standard survey question they have used for years to past answers to that same question. The question is probably something like, "when considering you recent visit to Walt Disney World Resort which of the following best describes your level of satisfaction with your overall experience?" It then gives five choices ranging from completely satisified to not satisfied at all.

There are all kind of factors that will effect the answer to this question, but perhaps the largest is a person's expectation going in to the trip. I sincerely believe the responses to this question are scoring higher than they were prepandemic. It doesn't mean that the overall experience or product is better. I think a combination of lower expectations and the fact that the sun always seems a little brighter after a week of clouds has a lot to do with it. I certainly wouldn't call it fake news though.

Also, we have been twice this year, and those trips rate very high for me personally compared to the dozen past trips. I certainly wasn't less satisfied.

Sounds like they are moving along (and maybe the inside will restart sooner than later!)
We were watching the progress between January and February when we were in FL. DD took a few pics from Barnstormer and I'd gotten a couple from Speedway.

Totally random and OT, but I finally watched this movie yesterday. I'm not even sure I'll ride this one but I wanted to at least know the backstory lol.

Demand is clearly there. Not to mention 40ish is where I think people are tech savvy enough to navigate the online scheduling. Here in TX my wife has spent hours and hours helping elderly friends and neighbors get appointments because they just can't figure out what they need to do. Now we are getting to groups that grew up with computers and had internet much younger (teens).

I think it's also that there might have been leftover inventory of the vaccine at this location. I get the sense that Mayor Demmings is trying to stay ahead of the usage curve.
