This is good news! Hoping they decide to expand hours (and maybe QS restaurants) at least on weekendsI imagine they are going to continue to adjust hours now to meet demand.

I dunno. It wouldn’t be that weird pre-COVID to see this. Len Testa said on his podcast that TouringPlans planning for November-December is way up from what they’ve seen since the parks reopened. I imagine we might see more park hour changes.Unfortunately it is only the 20th. As the report says, it sounds like a glitch since there is nothing special about that Sunday
Two Haunted Houses and Trick or Treating at Universal this weekend
I hope this doesn't mean that they're going to stop the current shorts. I love those.

Or it might be a glitch. But I’m not totally sure.
I wasn't saying he climbed it without fall protection, I was speaking in general. However, if at any time both carabineers are disconnected, while you are still in a fall zone, the fall protection is inadequate. The whole point of having two is so you're never discounted at transitions.StarFlyer is a 450 ft tower, they don’t climb this without protection. On this attraction, they move around with two large carabiners attached to them. It seems that on one of the inside to outside transitions, Jake’s carabiner was not secured properly which lead to the accident. I know at these transition points sometimes both carabiners will be loose.

Yeah that's what I was getting at with my last comment on the multi-point tie off system but probably didn't word it correctly and I verified that with my husband last night in talking; when you unclip from one spot you're still connected to another. I hope OSHA investigates to make sure the company itself adheres to safety regulations just in case it's an issue there.I wasn't saying he climbed it without fall protection, I was speaking in general. Aww I feel like they could have had a little more stuff. You don't have to go all out like you normally would but if you're only getting mostly decor without the parties and whatnot maybe more than pumpkins and the garland would be nice.
No hunting, no scare crows in Town Square. Basically just the Mickey pumpkins and some garland.
I thought they would do the bunting at least. That at least makes it look more festive.Aww I feel like they could have had a little more stuff. Oh that looks amazing!!!!

You should always be connected at one point but that doesn’t mean the employee is adhering to that, which is why I mentioned that transition point. That doesn’t mean that’s what happened with Jake though, my comment was speculation from knowledge of the attraction, not information about the incident. While he only started working there recently, he had other experience. He worked for RMC and helped build Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens, before being laid off due to Covid.Yeah that's what I was getting at with my last comment on the multi-point tie off system but probably didn't word it correctly and I verified that with my husband last night in talking; when you unclip from one spot you're still connected to another. I'm not calling into question his experience. Experience doesn't always mean you do what you're supposed to do, it doesn't mean the company you work for is doing what they are supposed to be doing, and it doesn't mean that there isn't a chance for a freak accident either. All possible here. Anywho it's probably taken up too much of the News Thread so I'll move onYou should always be connected at one point but that doesn’t mean the employee is adhering to that, which is why I mentioned that transition point.
