Wouldn’t be surprised if they follow up on Yaddle in all of this to give us the answer. Canonically she’s the only other of the species to appear in a film, she was on the Jedi Council during The Phantom Menace, and we never got story closure on her and she’d only be about 500 years old during Mandalorian.

Mando’s place in the timeline has been known since before the show came out. It’s always been confirmed it isn’t actually Baby Yoda.

I don't think anything discussed here would be a spoiler IMO. The timeline doesn't spoil anything and the actor has been known.

The other interesting thing that my 11yr old son pointed out is that "The Child" is the same age as Anakin (born/created the same year)

Yep. I can't really see that being a coincidence either.

Maybe it's like the whole Harry Potter prophecy thing. There were actually two options that could have fulfilled the prophecy of bringing balance to the force.

Heaven help whoever comes up with the Child's name though. He's such an iconic character and there has been so much talk now that the name will most likely be a let down no matter how good it is.
