News Round Up 2020

I find it really crappy how few major news sources reported on this. They slandered his name from here to Timbuktu when the allegations were first made, but that video is pretty irrefutable, and you could hear crickets chirping out there. It trended for 2 days on twitter this weekend though.
As Charlemagne tha God says no one cares for the Truth when the lie is way more salacious. He had proof then that he didn't harm her and when she got so upset that he donate the money from their divorce to charity when she said that's what she was going to do you could tell something wasn't right with the situation.

Heartily disagree with this - and there are many ways they can advertise the heck out of it without spoiling it for those that feel the surprise is part of the excitement and the thrill

And for those that are cool with seeing the whole thing there are ways to see it - but for those that don't want to they should be able to avoided ... But the other way, with revealing everything, only one side is happy with the outcome
Asking no body to discuss their experience in places specifically designed to discuss experiences, until you experience it is self-centered. Asking a company that dropped $2B on creating a new theme park land to not advertise it until you see it, is self-centered. Their ads are no different than movie trailers (except much shorter), I've never seen any movie advertised with just a logo spinning for 30 seconds. The ride has been open for two months, at some point the onus is on the people that don't want to know anything to disconnect. I

I understand being annoyed are headlines that give away major plot lines in the headline, or spoilers being stuck somewhere completely unexpected. But there were people in the ROS thread complaining about movie reviews having spoilers in them, seems like an obvious thing to avoid if you don't want to be spoiled. I think a big part of the problem is people now are against knowing any detail of something, while spoilers used to be about major plot points. Of course there are people on the other side that go out of their way to spoil things just to be jerks.

*I want to be clear, I am not calling anyone self-centered, just that it is a self-centered act, and everyone has some self-centered actions/tendencies.

I'm not suggesting no one talk about their experiences ... I am just surprised how many different scenes of the attraction have been shown on official Disney mediums. I am not asking for a spinning logo but I feel like they have shown 90% of the attraction, they could have shown 1/3rd of the amount and had the same impact

So totally on the individual to avoid spoilers on twitter, youtube, etc. but just suprised how much Disney had disclosed themselves - I shouldn't have to disconnect from Disney themselves I don't think

I thought that was City Works
For some reason I thought City Works wasn't until March. We are in wdw 2/25 - 3/4 and city works is very much one we want to try, and I thought we were missing it.

I saw on another site that it is supposed to open February 9th.
I thought that was City Works
The February 9th date was based on the hours that Google was reporting for Regal Eagle on this coming Sunday the 9th. Though I suspect that might be not accurate because now it shows next Monday as closed; could have been wishful "sleuthing".

My comments were largely in general, not really directed at you. You just prompted my rant.

Maybe it's because I don't watch a lot of TV and what I do is mostly ad free, but I've only seen a few scenes in ads. The only Disney thing I think has gone into real spoilers was the imagineering show, I kind of wish I'd skipped that section, but I think it belongs there and in a year everyone will be glad it is.

I have to agree with PP. You can't expect Disney to not include snippets of the ride in its advertising. If this is too difficult for you to do, you might want to schedule your visits at or shortly after a new ride opens to minimize your exposure to spoiler advertising.

but that is my point - I DO fully expect snippets ... what surprised me was just how much of the ride they have been showing - how many different elements, different scenes, etc. ... they could have promoted it any only shown 1/3rd or less of the number of different things they have
