News Round Up 2020

Just as bad as the castle. Worse actually, really contrasts with the subtler colors in the rest of the area.

Oooh. I disagree. The previous color scheme was so similar to PPF. They don’t need to be the same.

I think the new color scheme is whimsical and fun, and I think it will be different from but complement PPF when it’s all revealed. Will hold off on final judgment until it’s complete.

To each his/her own I guess!

I too like it. The colors pop. And when you think of fantasyland you think color, or at least I do. That’s truly my one beef about Mine Train is that it’s such a muted attraction inside and out when we’re talking about the color of the rest of the land. I don’t want Fantasyland looking like Tomorrowland.

I like it, too. Fantasyland in WDW is so bland compared to DL and DLP (not sure how it looks in Asian parks). I like anything that makes it a little more visually interesting.

I guess they are expecting a light winter, especially with pushing back All-Star Movies .. and hoping (crossing their fingers) more for an increase in demand by Spring. All good signs .. Just a shame that the Port Orleans hotels or other All-Stars are still not slated to be open (but obviously they aren't needed -- just a shame from a fan perspective)>

Wasn't hoppers not allowed to get in on the afternoon boarding group (since they needed to be in the park?)

Is this just basically moving up the afternoon boarding group time by an hour to just make it impossible (and thus VERY CLEAR) that park hoppers cannot join the afternoon board group (since park hopping doesn't start until 2:00 PM?) .

Good to know for January though -- even though my daughter will have an AP, I only have non-hopper tickets for the rest of the family -- I doubt the hours will be long enough to bother with hopping on a 5-6 day trip.

So were they getting too many people trying to hop to DHS just to get on Rise in the afternoon and causing a traffic jam at the entry gates? Or was it just causing confusion as people were trying to get into the park before 2:00 PM, but since hopping didn't happen until 2:00 PM they were denied entry (and thus upset?)

PH doesn't start until Jan 1st so cannot answer bolded question.

Guessing they're doing this to prevent people trying to enter early to try and get a 2pm BG. Also avoids a line of people at the gate at 2pm. It will allow guests who try for a 1pm BG and are unsuccessful to leave the park before new people are trying to enter. Guessing they're trying to avoid a mass of people and the entrance and exit at the same time, crossing paths as they attempt to enter and exit at 2pm. The 1pm BG drop avoids this.

But are they planning on maybe making the rest of Fantasyland more colorful? (not sure .. just asking).

Yeah, if they change the rest to match it won’t be so bad. It really sticks out right now. I prefer the muted colors as it looks more fantasy to me than bold colors- that screams movie/storybook. But consistency would be great.
