News Round Up 2020

I.....had no idea there were still states that this hadn't happened in. Wow.
As of right now the state next to me the governor said he would like to let the counties and cities take charge basically based on their own needs. However, the 2 largest metros in the state have basically been stay at home. My state opted to leave it up to counties as well BUT had much more interaction with said counties on council if they would like to do a stay at home.

My county amongst multiple others on my side of the state line have a stay at home that started just over a week ago going til April 24th, once that happened it was a domino and other counties did a stay at home. After a bit my govenor opted to do just a state wide one that just started for 3 weeks (stops a week before my county stay at home is up) and is formulated differently than mine.

Don't assume that because an entire state isn't stay at home that there aren't areas that are doing it. My state is vastly rural with different situations (20% of the entire state's population lives in just my county); less populations tends to lead to less overall spread concerns too though it does not preclude them from getting the virus. My governor held out but decided to have 'consistency' and opted to do the stay at home for the whole state. The whole state stay at home is looser than ours in my county but technically the state's stay at home supercedes our county stay at home. It's a bit confusing.

A few states still have no restrictions: Arkansas, both Dakotas, Nebraska, and Iowa. Some states have restrictions in areas but not statewide: Texas, OK, WY, UT, Miss, GA, and SC.

Also look at where it is posted from. WTF1.COM. The initials kind of give it away...

I also got suspicious when it mentioned bringing in John Lasseter to be part of it.

Definitely the challenge with April Fools when something that one would actually want to see happen gets reported

I would hope at this point people would be doing this on their own either way, but that is probably a foolish hope.

I live in Missouri and have been staying home since March 13. Missouri doesn't have a stay at home order, but Kansas City does (that's where I'm located).

I think the right call is to let each state handle it its own way. There a lot of counties (and states) that are very rural and the virus has barely touched those areas. (There is a very rural county just north of me that has 0 cases) .
Has 0 cases or has no way to test and has no one who has been sick enough to be hospitalized in a hospital with test access? We have rural counties here in AL that bragged for weeks they had no cases. No... they had no testing. Guess what? They almost all have cases now that they've started testing, meager as the testing has been. The virus doesn't recognize national, state or county borders.
