Wouldn't surprise me, Disney Springs is pretty much done. Pandora next and while they work on DHS I'd expect them to also start serious work on Epcot.

Adding onto what is above.

Great Movie Ride changes/redo plans are not dead.

DHS will become a park of all IP and nothing original. (I am trying to think is anything there right now is original)

Disney is going to spend money like never spent before (think disney decade) on Anaheim to keep their tax cuts and then some. We should be seeing teases at marvel things to come at DCA at D23.

Whatever goes into DCA marvel wise will be cloned for Shanghai.

Guardians Tower at DCA is tentatively planned for a May 27th opening.

Fantasmic 2.0 is set to open June 23rd.

PTN will then also debut back at Disneyland in the summer after its refurbishment.

PTN is not coming to WDW.

I don't understand why WDW gets the short end of the stick constantly. It has to be their cash cow given the size and scope. Screw it up and Disney has a problem that will be difficult to overcome

This also reminds me of some of the imagineer discussion at the meal. He mentioned how Epcot was looking quite sorry, and he then told everyone to imagine how poor it would look in another 5 years once all the work at DHS and AK had finished. So it was good to hear senior staff at Imagineering are clearly aware of the issues with Epcot.

There isn't much too it but basically he said Epcot will be getting love over the next 8 or so years and it will involve IP. He said the old days of Epcot center are dead and this will essentially be Epcot 3.0.

That I do not know. I can't see them remove it but we could see them alter it for sure. I think everyone in the Disney fan community would have a heart attack if SSE was removed.

I sure would! SSE is my favorite ride! It does need a bit of an update, though. All of Future World does. It needs much love.

Did I miss that the RnRC refurb was extended? I thought for sure it was going to be open for our trip (the week before Thanksgiving week)? Or was it scheduled to be closed all along?

Dug and Rafiki will no longer meet in AK after this coming weekend. Their last day is either the 5th or 6th.

Kind of a bummer as they were unique meets I believe (at least after Rafiki stopped meeting in MK) - also a bit of a bummer that Rafiki's Planet Watch no longer has Rafiki at it

Well, project Gemini called for it to get a golden color overlay and for the ride to be switched out to a roller coaster type attraction - so I guess they would at least consider altering it significantly but I can't imagine they would remove it altogether as that is such a symbol not just for EPCOT but all of WDW

As a follow-up to my previous post, I checked WDWinfo.com for the refurb schedule, and it shows the refurb "ending" Nov. 9. But, on the MDE app, its listed as being closed for refurb well into January - same for Dinosaur and BTMRR. So, I'm thinking this is an error in the app?

I don't think it was extended. It had a closure scheduled but I don't remember the opening date exactly.
